Annabelle The Cow Has A New Home – New York City’s famed restaurant, Old Homestead Steakhouse just opened their second location at Caesars Palace. The New York hot spot’s famed icon Annabelle the cow decided to MOOOOve west as well. Like most of us who are transplants from the east coast and Midwest, I am sure Annabelle got tired of the cold and snowy weather and jumped at the chance to move to Las Vegas. During her trek, the iconic brown and white cow visited several major U.S. landmarks including Times Square, the St. Louis Arch, the Lincoln Memorial, Mt. Rushmore and the Alamo. She also found time to visit her family in Nebraska on the farm where she grew up and do a little shopping in Chicago. Before being placed at the entrance of Old Homestead Steakhouse at Caesars Palace, she made one last stop at the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign
Big Al’s Comedy Club at the Orleans – Opening night was packed last week as Kathleen Dunbar was the headliner to re-open Big Al’s Comedy Club inside the Orleans Resort. Big Al’s originally opened a little over 6 months ago with an agreement for a ‘third party producer’ to book the room. However, after the six month contract with the room being booked with NOT funny or crowd attracting performers (Dustin Diamond, Grandma Lee, Kaito Kaylen, etc), Boyd Gaming management opted to end that third party outsourcing and book / manage the club by their internal staff. Amy Pittle is doing an amazing job of re-branding that comedy club into a successful venue. Wes Winters had a night off from his busy performing schedule and came opening night to support his funny friend Kathleen. Go check out Big Al’s Comedy Club at the Orleans – it is one of the nicest comedy venues in Las Vegas! Oh, and it’s funny now too!!
