COMEDIAN BILL BURR WILL MAKE RETURN VISIT TO COSMOPOLITAN

        Bill Burr, comedian, actor, writer and podcast host, will visit The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan for the second time this year on Saturday, Dec. 21. This engagement will follow his sold-out show at the resort on Friday, Sept. 6. Tickets start at $49.

 

        Burr sells out theaters internationally and his Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts on iTunes. In March, he recorded his sixth hour-long comedy special at London’s Royal Albert Hall to be released later this year on Netflix. The fourth season of his animated Netflix series, “F Is For Family,” will premiere later this year featuring Burr, Laura Dern and Justin Long as the Murphy family. 

        This summer Burr is shooting the untitled Judd Apatow and Pete Davidson film alongside Marisa Tomei. His film credits include: “The Front Runner” starring Hugh Jackman; “Daddy’s Home” with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell; “Walk of Shame” with Elizabeth Banks; “The Heat” with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy; “Stand Up Guys” with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken; “Date Night” with Steve Carell and Tina Fey; and co-starring opposite Kevin Costner in the indie film “Black or White.”

 

DIONNE WARWICK RETURNS TO THE STRIP

        After a successful run at the Jubilee Theater at Bally’s, six-time Grammy Award-winner, Dionne Warwick, will return to the Strip with her limited engagement “An Evening With Dionne Warwick” at Cleopatra’s Barge at Caesars Palace. Performances are at 8 p.m. Tickets starting at $125 are on sale now for select dates beginning in September through March 1, 2020.

 

        Warwick, who was honored with this year’s Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, will take audiences at Caesars Palace on an intimate musical journey with her multitude of hit songs, which have made her one of the highest charted female singers of all time. She is celebrating more than 50 years in music and has earned more than 75 charted hit songs and sales over 100 million records worldwide. Warwick was discovered by the songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David and had her first hit in 1962 with “Don’t Make Me Over.” 

 

AGT FINALIST DANIEL EMMET HEADLINES CLEOPATRA’S BARGE

        Singer Daniel Emmet, who was a Season 13 Top 10 Finalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” will headline an exclusive six-night limited engagement, “Daniel Emmet: All That I Am,” on Cleopatra’s Barge at Caesars Palace Aug. 25-26, Sept. 1, 6, and 22-23 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $59.

 

        Emmet’s show with his live band under the musical direction of Jerry Williams will take the audience on a musical journey across musical genres from ballads and showstoppers to upbeat rock classics. He will also introduce a few original songs revealing his talent as a songwriter.

        On AGT, Emmet won fans around the globe with his soaring vocals, grit, and determination as well as good looks and sense of humor. One of Emmet’s most memorable AGT moments was the “impossible challenge” levied by judge Simon Cowell when he had to learn a song he had never heard of, in an hour, in Italian, and then come back and perform it on national television. It was a spellbinding moment for the audience.

        Emmet has been called “The Gateway Drug to Classical Music.” The multilingual artist sings in seven languages, can sing opera, and with popular songs such as Aerosmith’s “Don’t Want to Miss A Thing” or Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” injects his signature spin.

 

LATIN SUPERSTAR daddy yankee will HEADLINE AT the Cosmopolitan

        Latin superstar Daddy Yankee will headline The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan on Friday, Sept. 13 in celebration of Mexican Independence Day weekend. Tickets start at $49.

 

        Globally influential Daddy Yankee’s multi-decade career has included the launch of various products under his brand, more than 11 million albums sold, collaborations with several artists from different genres and the second highest grossing world tour in 2014 following the Rolling Stones.  He broke records with his collaboration with Luis Fonsi on “Despacito,” which was certified as the most watched video in YouTube history.   

        In 2018, global smash “Dura” reached No. 1 on airplay in more than 19 countries, surpassing more than 1.3 billion views and has won more than 21 platinum albums in the United States alone. In 2018, Daddy Yankee received the Icon Music Award by the Latin American Music Awards for his contribution to the music and the community.

 

DAY N’ VEGAS FEST IS NEW THREE-DAY RAP MUSIC EVENT

        Las Vegas thrives on special events and the newest one just announced is a rap festival Day N’ Vegas Fest planned for Nov. 1-3 at Vegas Festival Grounds. Tickets are on sale with a host of general admission and VIP options available starting at $299.

         Featured headliners will be J. Cole Nov.1, Travis Scott, Nov. 2, and Kendrick Lamar Nov. 3. In addition, some of the biggest names in rap, hip-hop, and R&B will be appearing including Tyler, Migos, The Creator, Brockhampton, Lil Uzi Vert, Juice WRLD, 21 Savage, and Rico Nasty, naming only a few.

 

NEW LAS VEGAS ‘TRIP TO STRIP’ RIDESHARE FOR SMALL GROUPS

        “Trip to Strip,” created by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), is different from other rideshare services because it is specifically for small groups looking for an affordable way to travel together to popular tourist destinations. The new transportation option doesn’t charge surge prices.

 

        Trip to Strip’s service area now covers the Las Vegas resort corridor from downtown Las Vegas to the M Resort, including McCarran International Airport and the Las Vegas Convention Center. Pickups and drop-offs are at the nearest RTC fixed route or paratransit stops, most of which are located near property entrances, and the zero level of McCarran International Airport.  

        Trip to Strip carries up to 11 passengers and provides a luxury ride via a limousine-style interior without premium prices. Vehicles offer various amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi, USB charging ports and ample luggage space. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are also available. Rides start at $6, and prices are determined on the distance and number of passengers in the booking party. New Trip to Strip users can receive 15-percent off their first ride with the promo code “FIRSTRIDE.”

TAITO ANNOUNCES FIRST U.S. EVENT AT THE WALL AT THE RIO

        Caesars Entertainment will host the North American qualifier of the largest of e-Arcade sports competitions. Japanese company Taito and their Toushinsai-Vegas qualifier competition will take place at The Wall eSports Gaming Lounge in the Rio on Thursday, Aug. 1 from noon-6 p.m. This will be the first time they will hold a qualifying competition in North America, which is open to global competitors. 

        This tournament will be a three-on-three single elimination in Street Fighter V (Type Arcade from Capcom). It will be live streamed globally and in other Caesars eSports venues such as at the LINQ Hotel + Experience. The winning team will receive a trip to Tokyo and automatic entry into the next Toushinsai in Japan in 2020. 

        Toushinsai, the largest of e-Arcade sports competition, has been held in Japan since 2015. More than 6,000 players from all over the world competed at the highest level during the recent 2018-2019 event.

 

SINBAD BRINGS LAUGHS TO GREEN VALLEY RANCH

        Comedian Sinbad will perform at the Grand Events Center at Green Valley Ranch on Friday, July 5 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25.

 

        Michigan native Sinbad’s comedy career took off in the 1980s after he appeared on “Star Search,” which led to roles on “The Redd Foxx Show” and “A Different World.” He was a household name by the 1990s with television and film credits including “The Sinbad Show,” his first HBO special “Sinbad: Brain Damaged,” “Necessary Roughness,” “Houseguest,” “First Kid,” “Jingle All the Way” and “Good Burger.” He recently lent his voice to Disney Junior’s “The Lion Guard” and currently stars in the hit series “Rel.”

 

VEGAS’ FIRST TENNIS TEAM DEBUTS AT ORLEANS ARENA

        The city’s first and only professional tennis team, the Vegas Rollers, are holding their inaugural season with special themed nights for select home matches being held at the Orleans Arena with tickets starting at $17.89.

        Themed nights will kick-off during the Vegas Rollers first season’s home match with Kids Day on Saturday, July 20 at 5 p.m. The first 100 kids under the age of 10 will receive one free tennis racket. 

        Sunday, July 21 at noon will be United States Tennis Association (USTA) Member Appreciation Day highlighting members of the national organization including World Team Tennis (WTT) co-founder, Billie Jean King. Sunday’s match will be aired on CBS from 4-6 p.m. ET/1-3 p.m. PT.  

        Tuesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. is UNLV Night with tennis fans and a guest wearing their scarlet and grey gear receiving free entry to the match. Rollers’ head coach, Tim Blenkiron, played at UNLV and won the 1997 NCAA national championship.     

         Military Night on Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. will offer members of the military free entry when they show their military I.D.              

         Fans showing off their favorite Golden Knights gear will be offered complimentary entry on Sunday, July 28 at 7 p.m. for Vegas Golden Knights Night.

 

DOWNTOWN CONTAINER PARK HOLDS SILENT DISCO SUNDAYS

        Downtown Container Park open-air shopping center and entertainment venue will host a pair of Silent Disco Sunday events on July 7 and 21 from 5-9 p.m. in partnership with Quiet Events featuring battling DJs, drink specials and more.       

        Guests of all ages can tune out the world with headsets for $5 a set and tune in to one of three genres of up-tempo tunes. The first 100 guests to RSVP to Container Park’s “Silent Disco Sunday” will receive complimentary headphones.

 

COVE BEACH OPENED ITS FIRST SUMMER AT CAESARS PALACE

        Cove Beach’s Summer Takeover at Venus Pool + Lounge recently held its grand opening introducing a taste of the Dubai lifestyle. Guests joined around the DJ booth with giant champagne bottles showering confetti to commemorate the occasion.

 

        Cove Beach is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. From now through Labor Day Weekend, Cove Beach will keep the festivities going all season long with four weekly parties: Rosé Soirée – Thursdays, half-off rosé wine; Little Havana – Fridays; FRSH – Saturdays; and island-inspired JMRCK Sundays.

 

FERRARO’S RENOVATES

        Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar is completing renovations to its dining room and lounge June 30–July 5 and is closed while work is underway. Renovations include new flooring throughout the restaurant and a complete remodel of the lounge with new liquor displays, bar top, tables, and chairs to create a lighter, brighter and more contemporary look. Phase one of Ferraro’s renovations to replace its previous Old World-inspired scheme were completed last fall with the introduction of a new contemporary décor, featuring clean lines and soft cream walls with dark wood finishes.
        Ferraro’s Summer Regional Menu Series will spotlight Trentino, July 6-11. Every two weeks, award-winning Chef Francesco DiCaudo is preparing a new, four-course menu comprising dishes from a different Italian epicurean hotspot. All menus are priced at $49.

 

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATIONS

        The 25th Annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade, Southern Nevada’s largest for the holiday, will feature more than 70 entries from 9 to 11 a.m.

        The 72st Annual Boulder City Damboree Celebration will take place on the Fourth with many activities including a parade at 9 a.m., festivities in Broadbent Memorial Park 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and fireworks  at 9 p.m.

        Grammy-nominated country music group, Eli Young Band will headline the free Downtown Rocks concert on Thursday, July 4 at 9 p.m. on the Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street Stage.

       The Plaza will host its annual Independence Day party on Thursday, July 4 at its rooftop pool. Free for all ages to attend, the party will include a hot dog eating contest and will again culminate with downtown’s only live fireworks show at 9 p.m.

 

        The M Resort will have fireworks choreographed to music on Thursday at 9 p.m. Guests can view the fireworks from the M Pool deck.

        Wet’n’Wild will hold its weekend third annual Red, White and Wild Celebration, July 4-6, with fireworks at 8:30 on the Fourth, a free concert by country singer Drew Baldridge, dancing, foam parties, attractions and more. 

        Smoked Burgers & BBQ at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is holding an Independence Day firework-viewing party on Thursday, July 4 with a DJ on the Stripside patio and food and beverage specials including bottomless draft beer and well cocktails for $40 per person. Additionally, all military receive 25 percent off their bill all day. The party will continue the evenings of Friday and Saturday, July 5-6 from 7 p.m. to midnight with live music and specials.

        In Pahrump, and hour’s drive west of Las Vegas in Petrack Park, there will be free fireworks displays Thursday-Saturday, July 4-6 at 9 p.m. In addition, there will be back-to-back movie nights on Friday and Saturday, July 5-6. For the whole month, there will be movies at dusk on all four Saturdays, July 6, 13, 20 and 27. 

        On Wednesday night, July 3, The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host its popular Night of Fire racing and conclude the evening with fireworks.

 

CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT RECEIVES TRIPADVISOR® 2019 AWARDS

        Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ: CZR) announced a record 28 of its resorts and three of its attractions have earned the prestigious 2019 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence and also received 14 Hall of Fame designations.

        In Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Certificate of Excellence were earned by Bally’s, Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood and attractions – Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck at Paris, Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, High Roller Observation Wheel, and The LINQ Promenade.

        Hall of Fame recipients in Las Vegas have earned the Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row include: Hobu Hotel Caesars Palace; Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck at Paris; and Flamingo Wildlife Habitat at Flamingo.

        The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

 

TWO NEW FOOD OUTLETS OPEN AT EXCALIBUR FOOD COURT

        Two new outlets, Einstein Bros.® Bagels and Frites, the Strip’s first French fry concept, opened in the past couple weeks at the Excalibur’s Castle Walk Food Court. Both are Feel Good Brands, which has operated multiple franchises for more than 20 years in the Las Vegas Valley. This is the first Einstein location on the Strip and to celebrate this outlet only is offering an exclusive bagel sandwich – the All Knighter through July 31.

        Valley restaurants are extending their Las Vegas Restaurant Week menus through the first week of July, offering prix-fix menus at price points ranging from $20 to $80. A fixed portion of each meal’s cost will benefit Three Square Food Bank, and 100 percent of all proceeds collected will support the nonprofit’s mission of providing meals to more than 271,000 food insecure residents in Southern Nevada.         The Sanders Winery Summer Concert Series in Pahrump, an hour’s drive west of Las Vegas, will feature Denise Clemente on July 13 with “Vegas Lounge Show,” and Rob Garrett will perform his tribute on Neil Diamond on July 27. Tickets for the Saturday night outdoor concerts at dusk are $25.
