THE MAYFAIR SUPPER CLUB PREMIERES NEW SHOW AT BELLAGIO

 

        The Mayfair Supper Club, Bellagio’s landmark restaurant overlooking the resort’s famous Fountains, is debuting a captivating new show. In collaboration with the team at No Ceilings Entertainment, Bellagio is introducing a creative new take on its multi-act production with new songs, characters, costumes, showstopping dance routines and surprise moments which define The Mayfair experience, evolving from a swinging Prohibition-era jazz club to a late-night dance party. The Mayfair Supper Club is open daily at 5 p.m. and until 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday-Saturday.

        The new show introduces Claire Souliér as “Mae Montgomery,” inspired by the most empowering women in entertainment such as Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Mae West and Lady Gaga. It stars Jason Martinez as “Fred Lovell,” in homage to charming and graceful Fred Astaire. Broadway’s Adam North brings the comedy conceptualizing the show with a fresh script. 

        The music features a musical track spanning songs from the jazz era to postmodern jukebox. The Mayfair curated a coveted team of choreographers to develop new dance pieces and has added even more dance talent. The new show features all-new costumes, hand-selected with exquisite materials, alluring colors and cutting-edge styles. 

        Named one of the world’s best new restaurants by Conde Nast Traveler’s Hot 100 list, The Mayfair menu continues to delight guests with its array of culinary offerings.

 

INAUGURAL RUMBAZO LATIN MUSIC FESTIVAL PLANNED SEPT. 10-11

 

        Featuring more than 20 of Latin music’s biggest artists, the first-ever Rumbazo Latin Musical Festival will take place over two days Sept. 10-11 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The events will be a celebration of Latin music, art, food and culture. 

        Kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month, the new festival Rumbazo is a recognition of Latin culture, pride and heritage, raising the bar in the Latin music festival space. Part open-air gallery and part music festival, the event is expected to draw 15,000 attendees per day for a party filled with rhythm, dancing and laughter. 

Festival organizer Vic Juarez said Downtown Las Vegas was chosen because it’s in the heart of the city and welcoming. The Rumbazo lineup and ticket details will be announced in the coming weeks; visit RumbazoFest.

 

RESORTS WORLD OPENS DIRECT ACCESS TO CONVENTION CENTER

 

        Resorts World Las Vegas has unveiled its Las Vegas Convention Center Loop passenger station, providing direct underground access to the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in an efficient and environmentally friendly way in minutes in all-electric Teslas. Hours of operation for this station vary based upon the LVCC events and convention calendar. 

The LVCC Loop is an innovative, all-electric, zero-emissions, underground public transportation system in which passengers are transported directly to their destination with no stops along the way. The Resorts World Las Vegas passenger station will be the first of more than 55 stops anticipated to form the Vegas Loop, which aims to eventually transport thousands of passengers per hour throughout the resort corridor. The Vegas Loop will be constructed in phases, which will include the Resorts World Las Vegas passenger station, the LVCC Loop and future service extensions along the Strip and Downtown Las Vegas.

 

SEBASTIAN MANISCALCO HAS EXTENDED FOUR-SHOW RUN AT WYNN

 

        Due to overwhelming demand, comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will return to Encore Theater at Wynn on Oct. 8 and 9, with back-to-back performances at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. each night. The four-show run is a continuation of his popular “Nobody Does This Tour,” which has delighted fans at the venue throughout 2022. Tickets start at $59.95.
        Maniscalco, referred to by “The New York Times” as “the hottest comic in America,” shows no signs of slowing down following a slew of sold-out performances at Encore Theater at Wynn and across the country. His distinctive physical brand of comedy both on-stage and on-screen continues to earn acclaim from audiences around the world. He brings his sarcastic journey on what drives him crazy about life and takes you deep inside his experience with his wife and in-laws.

        His success comes after a series of blockbuster years. In addition to releasing a best-selling memoir, “Stay Hungry,” and Netflix original special also titled "Stay Hungry," the comic hosted the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards and landed roles in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated “The Irishman” as well as “Green Book,” which won Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Maniscalco can next be seen on the small screen in his own food show for Discovery+ to be released later this year.

 

NATURALLY 7 WILL VISIT M RESORT

 

        Naturally 7 will return to the M Resort for a headlining gig on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. inside the M Pavilion. With the release of their latest project, “20/20,” Naturally 7 has come full circle, adding a fresh spin on 20 of their fan favorites and celebrating their 20th anniversary in the music industry.         The phrase, “a capella group,” vastly underplays what Naturally 7 creates onstage. They coined the phrase “Vocal Play” to depict more accurately what they do. Naturally 7 is more than a tightly orchestrated collection of great singers. They transform their voices into actual human instruments, effortlessly producing music of any genre. Their vocal choreography is so perfectly interwoven that they compelled the musical maestro himself, Quincy Jones, to declare them “The best a cappella group in the world!”

        Their sonic mastery was on full display on “The World’s Best” TV show, which premiered on CBS immediately following Super Bowl LIII and was hosted by comedian and “Car Karaoke” collaborator, James Corden.

        There 20-year career, which includes three world tours - nearly 500 shows– with Michael Bublé, shared billing with global phenomenon Coldplay - and owning the spotlight in a pair of national Cheerios commercials. In addition to Bublé, Naturally 7 has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Quincy Jones, Sarah Connor, Lionel Richie, Ludacris, The Roots, and more.

 

‘JEW MAN GROUP’ COMEDY AT TUSCANY IS LOOKING FOR TALENT

 

        Headliner showman Rick Michel has written and co-produced a new Las Vegas show “Jew Man Group” at the Tuscany. This original production has a residency in Las Vegas and national touring dates in the works. Meanwhile, Michel is looking for more talent and asking comedians, comedy magicians, impressionists, ventriloquists, etc. to apply on the JewManGroup’s website.

                He describes the show as a light-hearted musical comedy that transports audiences back to the days when the Catskill Mountain comics ruled the land. Michel feels the time is right for the best musical tribute and comical parody.

 

2022 GREAT SANTA RUN LAUNCHES REGISTRATION

 

        Registration for Opportunity Village’s Las Vegas Great Santa Run is now open. The race is returning to Downtown Las Vegas for its 18th year with its hybrid format, offering runners around the world two options to support Opportunity Village: an in-person race on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, or a virtual race that can be completed any time between Dec. 4-24, 2022. Registration is available at LVSantaRun.com.

        For the first 12 days of registration, every registered runner will be entered into Opportunity Village’s 12 Days of Xmas promotion and will have a chance to randomly win one of 12 prizes valued at $50 or greater. Winners will be announced on Opportunity Village’s social platforms and will be notified via email on or before July 8 and July 15. The 12 Days of Xmas prize packages are below:

        The internationally recognized Santa Run raises funds and awareness for Opportunity Village’s programs and services, which provide unparalleled opportunities, enrichment and support to more than 3,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

KABIR SINGH RETURNS TO HEADLINE L.A. COMEDY CLUB AT THE STRAT

 

        Comedian Kabir Singh is returning for the second time to the L.A. Comedy Club located inside The STRAT. The “America’s Got Talent” finalist and 2014 winner of the “San Francisco International Comedy Competition” will headline the new Dragon Room on the main floor Monday-Thursday, July 11-14 at 8 p.m.

        Following the adage to write or talk about what you know, Singh has a most interesting background giving him material. He was born in Portland, Ore., in 1984 to stereotypical Indian parents, and realized in school it wasn’t easy to make friends. Luckily for Kabir, he became known as the funniest Indian kid in Oregon. Of course, he was the only Indian kid in Oregon. At age 9, his family moved to Bombay, India, where he was bullied and teased for being American, which taught him how to make people laugh in no less than three languages. At 13, the family moved back to America, where he was once again made fun of for being Indian.

         L.A. Comedy Club features up-and-coming and veteran comics with three shows nightly at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. Tickets are $39 for general admission and $59 for VIP. L.A. Comedy Club is famous for its “$25 All You Can Drink Special,” which serves a premium well and keeps the drinks coming throughout the show.

 

BRITAIN’S JOSS STONE BRINGS SOUL TO RED ROCK

 

         Joss Stone, a singer-songwriter from Devon, U.K., will perform at the Sandbar Poolside at Red Rock on Friday, July 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $50.

Stone has been captivated by soul music since she was a little girl. As she moved through her early teens, she intuitively honed her now trademark gravely-but-lustrous vocals by singing along to Aretha Franklin’s greatest hits. She began pursuing a singing career at 13, securing a record deal at 15, and recording her star-making, critically acclaimed debut album, “The Soul Sessions,” which was released in 2003.
 Grammy and Brit award-winning Stone has since released seven studio albums. At 30 years old, she has already enjoyed a long career and kept the company of musical royalty from the outset. Stone has performed alongside legendary artists, such as James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Sting, Van Morrison and Melissa Etheridge, amongst many others. She has collaborated with many of the world’s finest musicians, including Jeff Beck, Sting, Mick Jagger and Damien Marley.

 

THE SALT ROOM OPENS THIRD LOCATION

 

The Salt Room has added a third location to its roster at 10680 Dean Martin Dr., Bldg. 4 Ste. 100in the retail spaces at KAKTUSlife. The new location, near Southern Highlands just off I-15, joins the flagship The Salt Room in Summerlin, which opened in 2014, and the company’s second successful location in Henderson. Hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.


The Salt Room KAKTUSlife adds an intimate salt cave, with their signature Arches design and luxurious chairs, to accommodate a private retreat for two. Salt therapy, also commonly known as Halotherapy, includes relaxing in a “salt cave” and breathing microparticles of pharmaceutical salt air for a 45-minute session, which equals to three days by the beach. The cave walls are made of Himalayan salt bricks while the floor is covered in Himalayan salt pebbles. Caves can accommodate multiple guests at one time. This location also offers massages, facials and body treatments.
For many, salt therapy offers all-natural relief for skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, and a range of respiratory ailments including sinus infections, asthma, allergies and bronchitis.
In addition, The Salt Room hosts crystal bowl and other mindfulness and meditation classes throughout the month inside the salt caves.
Guests can bring the salt experience into their home, with The Salt Room signature handmade retail products made from pure Himalayan salt for sale. The Salt Room also offers custom home salt feature design, from accent walls to fireplaces and headboards.

 

OLEKSANDRA SPA & SALON REOPENS AT TREASURE ISLAND

 

         Oleksandra Spa & Salon, an on-site venue at Treasure Island, is fully renovated and again open for business. The temporarily closed spa reopens with a full restoration, offering updated amenities and treatments designed for good health, wellness and relaxation.

        Visiting guests are met with soothing sounds, aromas and an intimate, world-class spa and salon experience conducted by skilled professionals. The spa includes sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. Open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, non-hotel guests may access spa facilities for $40 per day.

 

CAPELLI SALON TO OPEN THIRD LOCATION AT UNCOMMONS THIS FALL

 

Capelli Salon will open this fall at UnCommons, the $400 million, 40-acre mixed-use community under construction. Capelli Salon currently has two locations in the Las Vegas Valley, making this location its third salon in the city. The 2,200-square-foot luxury salon will offer a range of services, including haircuts, coloring, balayage, hair extensions, makeup application and manicures.

The salon offers six to eight classes per year with well-known industry and leading artist educators to keep its team up to date on the latest trends and techniques in cutting, coloring, balayage and styling.

Capelli Salon will be joining more retail/dining destinations at UnCommons, the  Speakeasy Candle Co.; elevated barbershop The Kingsman; Mercadito, a Cuban-inspired neighborhood bodega; tea shop, Teaspoon; heirloom coffee roaster and pioneer, Urth Caffé; and MINA Group’s first off-Strip, fast-casual restaurant. The mixed-use community will also be home to numerous office tenants.

 

VEGAS VENUES CELEBRATE NATIONAL LIQUOR DAYS

 

Four days to celebrate this month are National Piña Colada Day on Sunday, July 10; National Mojito Day on Monday, July 11; National Daiquiri Day on Tuesday, July 19; and National Tequila Day on Sunday, July 24.

        In celebration of National Piña Colada Day, Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, will offer piña colada-themed pancakes from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7 through July 14.Inspired by the tropical cocktail, Cabo Wabo’s piña colada pancakes will be topped with house-made pineapple syrup, fresh pineapple slices and a dollop of whipped cream, sprinkled with freshly toasted coconut for $16.

                At the Mob Museum, The Underground speakeasy and distillery will celebrate National Mojito Day, July 10-14 with four flavors: classic, cucumber watermelon, pineapple jalapeño or strawberry basil. Cuba, where the infamous Havana Convention was held in 1946, was the birthplace of the mojito cocktail. National Daiquiri Day will be highlighted with $2 off daiquiri cocktail July 15-21. An American engineer created the cocktail in the Cuban village of Daiquiri, which was where the U.S. first invaded the island during the Spanish-American War in 1898. For National Tequila Day, The Underground will off $2 of tequila cocktail Añejo Sazerac, July 22-24.

        Spirits trailblazer, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and headliner at The STRAT, Sammy Hagar released his first cocktail book, “Sammy Hagar’s Cocktail Hits: 85 Personal Favorites from the Red Rocker.” All of the cocktails are made with Hagar’s award-winning spirits, Santo Tequila ReposadoSanto Tequila Blanco, Santo Mezquila and Sammy's Beach Bar Rum.
