Emmy-winner Kimmel serves as host and executive producer of his distinctive late-night talk show, which is shot live in front of a studio audience. Tickets are available at www.kimmelinvegas.com.

‘FUERZA BRUTA’ IS NEW PERFORMING ART EXPERIENCE

While this new show in a dark obscure tent in the southeast corner of the Excalibur’s parking lot may not be for everyone, it will have strong appeal for many. Rather prepared not to dig it because of negatively experiencing Diqui James’ similarly fashioned “De La Guarda” standing-only show at the Rio in the fall of 2000, which ran nearly a year, this was a very pleasant surprise. The Rio show led to the creation of “Fuerza Bruta” in Buenos Aires in 2003. True you will be standing an hour with a show happening above your head and all around a 360-degree changing theatre, but the experience keeps you intrigued.

Infectious drum-beat music is a backdrop to scenarios taking the audience through wind, rain and confetti-blizzards with acrobats performing. The production has some truly mesmerizing experiences including the huge clear-plastic tarp shallow pool that is lowered above the crowd to where folks can touch it while performers run and jump in the water.

When a tarp is pulled over the audience, you’re not sure what is happening and suddenly it is raised and becomes a tent with three big circles where performers drop through it. Then a giant air tube in rolled in and a performer blows around in it.

            This is a one-of-a-kind experience taking place Wednesday-Sunday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets start at $86.50.

Both venues will offer flat screen televisions and convenient access to the William Hill Sports Book for betting.

BLVD & MAIN brewer, Dave Otto, has developed a signature beer Jaywalker to roll out for the opening. Two of Otto’s other beers…Sean Patrick’s Irish Red and Hualapai IPA of parent company Golden Entertainment’s PT’s taverns, will be among the two dozen beers on tap.
