MARC ANTHONY WILL VISIT MANDALAY BAY WITH ‘FULL CIRCLE’ TOUR
Latin music superstar Marc Anthony, who just released his album for children, “Marc Anthony for Babies,” announced his new U.S. tour, which will include a Las Vegas stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, Sept. 16 at 10:30 p.m.
His tour is titled “Full Circle” with Anthony wanting to give fans heartfelt thanks for being with him since the beginning of his career. To accomplish this, the Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) production team designed a circular stage to allow Anthony to connect with his loyal fans in a more intimate way. Tickets range from $89.95 to $275.95.
RASCAL FLATTS HEADLINE LIMITED-ENGAGEMENT AT THE VENETIAN
Rascal Flatts, the past decade’s best-selling country vocal group, will headline a limited eight-date engagement of “A Night to Shine” presented by SiriusXM in The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian® from Oct. 6 to 21. Tickets for their 8 p.m. show start at $49.

Rock superstars Guns N’ Roses on their worldwide “Not In This Lifetime Tour” will stops at T-Mobile Arena Friday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m.
Guns N’ Roses formed in 1985 in Los Angeles and went on to captivate the entire world with the release of their 1987 debut “Appetite for Destruction,” the best-selling U.S. debut ever, moving 30 million copies globally. Guns N’ Roses’ are Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboard), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboard).
LINKIN PARK WITH MACHINE GUN KELLY WILL VISIT MGM GRAND
Produced by Live Nation, Linkin Park will bring the “One More Light World Tour” with special guest Machine Gun Kelly to the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. Linkin Park released their seventh studio album, “One More Light,” May 19 via Warner Bros. Records while Machine Gun Kelly released his third studio album, “bloom,” on May 12. Tickets range from $39 to $129.
MAGICAL MEMORIES FEATURING DISNEY FINE ART HOLDS GRAND OPENING
The public grand opening of Magical Memories featuring Disney Fine Art on the Terrace Level at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is June 8-11. The flagship visual art venue will be presenting a multi-day, public celebration featuring a salute to the 25th anniversary of the original animated film “Beauty and the Beast.”
Grand opening ribbon and cake cutting is Saturday, June 10 at 11 a.m. On the evenings of June 8 and 9, there will be fundraising benefit parties.
On Friday, June 9 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. artists John Ramirez, Tennessee Loveless and Tim Rogerson will offer art lessons for children. There will be panel discussions and art and book signings on Saturday and Sunday. ‘COMEDY & DOLLS’ HAS NEW FEATURED TALENT
Since opening in January, “Comedy & Dolls” at The Cabaret Show Lounge at Planet Hollywood has featured a wide array of headline comics and variety acts. The show has two veteran acts joining the recurring cast, “The TV Guy” - Mr. Joe Trammel and acrobatic comedian Uber Macaggi Rossi. Trammel and Rossi will continue to be joined by an ever-changing lineup of comedians and the sexy dolls for the nightly 9 p.m. shows.
Joe Trammel has a reputation as being a staple performer on the Strip including 10 successful years as the closing act in “V” The Ultimate Variety Show and three years as the marquee star of “Crazy Girls” when it was at the Riviera.
Uber Macaggi Rossi is a third generation variety entertainer with a lifetime of experience on stage. He began his acrobatic and comedic career performing at the Lido De Paris at the age of 12.
WORLD SERIES OF POKER TOURNAMENT IS UNDERWAY AT THE RIO
The 48th Annual World Series of Poker at the Rio already kicked off 54 days of play with tens of thousands of players from around the world competing for more than $200 million. Two changes this year include no firm “shot clock” and the return of crowning the tournament’s main event champion in July instead of November. Buy-ins for the 74-event tournament running through July 22, range from $333 to $111,111. Last year the poker series over eight weeks of play attracted 107,833 participants. Admission to watch the games is free.
WIZ KHALIFA RETURNS IN JULY TO START RESIDENCY AT DRAI’S LIVE
Wiz Khalifa’s debut performance at Drai’s Nightclub was a sell out and now the chart-topping artist has an exclusive year-long 2017 Drai’s LIVE residency. The 10-time Grammy-nominated artist will return to the club at The Cromwell on Saturdays, July 1, 15 and Sept. 2 for starters. Khalifa will release his seventh studio album, “Rolling Papers 2,” this year. Other big names on the resident roster list include Future, Big Sean, Fabolous, and Lil Wayne.
‘THRONES! THE MUSICAL PARODY’ HAS NINE-SHOW RUN AT THE SPACE
The premiere of “Thrones! The Musical Parody” in Las Vegas will have a limited engagement at The Space, 3460 Cavaretta Court, from Friday, July 14–Sunday, July 23 nightly at 8 p.m. The show is direct from sold-out runs in Los Angeles, Chicago, London and Scotland. Tickets start at $35.
The cast sing and dance their way through a warped mirthful version of the popular series’ plots and twists. Thrones! looks in on six friends gathering for the season finale of “Game of Thrones,” only to discover one member hasn’t watched the show. The show is brought to the stage by the same creative team behind “50 Shades! The Musical Parody.”
BABBO RISTORANTE E ENOTECA STAGES POP-UP DINNER
Chef Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich’s flagship New York City destination, Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca, will stage a pop-up dinner at B&B Ristorante at The Venetian on Friday, June 23 at 7 p.m. The event, which is part of Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group’s (B&BHG) Las Vegas guest chef dinner series, will encompass four courses complemented by wine pairings and be presented by Babbo Executive Chef Frank Langello. Cost is $150, which includes wine pairings, gratuity, and a take-home pastry creation.
SUNSET STATION CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY
Sunset Station in Henderson is celebrating its 20th birthday this month and on Saturday, June 10 from noon to 6 p.m., guests are invited for free cupcakes and champagne. The property originally opened at 9:30 p.m., June 10, 1997. In the past year, Sunset Station has unveiled a new look throughout the property with remodeled hotel rooms, a refreshed café and renovated race and sports book. The property’s remodeled steakhouse, Sonoma Cellar, will soon be unveiled with an elegantly appointed dining room, expanded bar and all-new menu.
LENA PRIMA RETURNS TO SUNCOAST SHOWROOM
Singer Lena Prima, youngest daughter of Louis Prima and singer-songwriter Gia Maione, will bring her musical celebration “Old Vegas and New Orleans!” to the Suncoast Showroom on Saturday, July 8 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $15.
Prima began her musical career performing on stage touring with her parents during her summer vacations. She studied art, music and dance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 2000, Prima showcased “Louis Prima, That’s My Dad!” at the former Sahara, where her father performed during the early 1950s. Throughout her more than 30-year career, Prima has released five albums.
SCULPTOR ALLISON WIESE IS ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE AT NEON MUSEUM
The recipient of the 2017 National Artist Residency, sculptor Allison Wiese, who lives in San Diego and teaches at the university there, was selected from among 26 entrants nationwide to reside and work downtown at the Neon Museum from June 1–30. She will deliver an artist’s talk on Thursday, June 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and a studio open house on Friday, June 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Both events are free to the public and will take place at the Neon Museum’s Ne10 Building at 300 N. Las Vegas Boulevard. The residency, now in its second year, was made possible through state and national grants.
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT HOSTS ANNUAL CHARITY POKER TOURNAMENT
Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada (JA) is hosting its seventh annual Charity Poker Tournament on Sunday, June 11 with registration at 11 a.m. and play starting at noon. For the second year, the fundraising event will take place at Planet Hollywood on the Mezzanine Level. Buy-in is $250 to play Texas Hold 'Em and the grand prize is a coveted seat at the World Series of Poker’s Main Event taking place this summer at the Rio or a $7,500 cash option. Second through 10th place get cash prizes, show tickets and dinner packages. The organization is dedicated to providing financial education to students K-12.

Want to make a note that the original musical “Clowntown” at the Judy Bayley Theatre on the UNLV campus over Memorial Day weekend was superb. The talent in the show equaled any major production on Broadway. The theme had metaphors for tolerance and plot was filled with topical issues reflecting today’s current political climate. It’s a show that deserves to be seen and experienced.
The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will return to the Orleans Arena to showcase their incredible ball handling wizardry, rim-rattling dunks, trick shots, comedy and fan interaction on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. The roster includes Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, Hi-Lite Bruton, Thunder Law, Bull Bullard and Cheese Chisholm and female stars TNT Maddox, Ace Jackson, Swish Young and Hoops Green. In recognition of their recent 100th performance at Harrah’s, the cast and crew of “Tenors of Rock” celebrated the occasion with a rock ‘n’ roll-inspired cake presentation onstage. The show debuted in January 2017.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, John Fogerty, celebrated his 72nd birthday with his sons Tyler and Shane and an over-the-top cake presentation during his May 24 show at Wynn. The cake, created by Gimme Some Sugar Las Vegas, was a replica of Fogerty’s famous guitar, “ACME.”

David Walzog, executive chef of SW Steakhouse and Lakeside at Wynn, will share secrets to achieve the perfect char on Thursday, June 15 at 1 p.m. Walzog is the author of “The New American Steakhouse Cookbook,” and he has appeared on NBC’s “Today Show,” CBS’s “The Talk,” “ABC Nightline” and “Iron Chef America,” among others. This experience costs $150 and includes a cookout class on the patio overlooking the Lake of Dreams followed by a casual lunch inside SW Steakhouse.
