WHITNEY HOUSTON HOLOGRAM SHOW CLOSED AT HARRAH’S
The “An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert” show closed June 12 at Harrah’s. The show opened at the Harrah's Showroom last November featuring Houston’s hologram and voice backed by a live band, singers, and dancers performing her famous songs.
According to a spokesperson, the show plans to enhance the production with expanded and more immersive stagecraft and reopen again in Las Vegas. Time will tell.
DA VINCI EXHIBITION DEBUTS AT NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
Now through Saturday, Sept.10, the traveling Da Vinci Machines & Robotics Exhibition will be on display at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum located at 900 Las Vegas Blvd. N. On loan from the museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, Italy, this exhibit brings together creations and concepts devised more than 500 years ago by the brilliant scientist, inventor and artist, Leonardo da Vinci.
More than 60 machines and artworks are on display with many being interactive. The collection brings to life the Renaissance Man’s most important and impressive designs including: the bicycle, spring powered car, hang glider, helicopter, and for the first time, his incredible robotic drummer.
The museum is open daily including holidays from 9a.m. to 4p.m.; tickets are available online or at the door.
JACK BINION’S STEAK OPENS AT BALLY’S
Jack Binion’s Steak, the namesake restaurant of Las Vegas gaming legend Jack Binion, is now open at Bally’s. With the transformation to Horseshoe underway, the restaurant is an integral part of the resort’s rebrand and honors the rich history and legacy behind the Binion and Horseshoe names. The establishment is in the former BLT Steak space, next to Indigo Lounge.
In keeping with traditional steakhouse elegance, Jack Binion’s Steak welcomes guests with a large circular bar, warm wood interiors accented by neutral tones, polished stainless steel and rich leathers. Vintage photographs adorn the walls and transport guests back to when Las Vegas was born. Hours are daily 5 to 10:30 p.m.
Jack Binion’s steaks are selected from Black Angus corn-fed cattle for superior marbling and aged for 28 days. Not to be outdone, all steaks are finished on an 1800-degree broiler to deliver a perfectly seared and seasoned centerpiece. Seafood options are abundant including the decadent Jack Binion’s Colossal Seafood Tower, which features six types of crab, including Merus King Crab legs, known as the “Filet Mignon of Crab,” alongside colossal shrimp, Blue Point oysters and Maine lobster tail.

RICK MICHEL’S ‘SINATRA FOREVER’ HEADLINES ITALIAN AMERICAN CLUB
Rick Michel will present his “Sinatra Forever” show focusing totally on Ol’ Blue Eyes’ music at the Italian American Club (IAC) at 2333 East Sahara Ave. on Wednesday, June 22 at 8 p.m.
Michel will share and interpret Sinatra standards with a 16-piece All-Star Big Band Orchestra including two violins, a viola and a cello. This headliner showman has been called “the closest sound to Sinatra we have ever heard” by “Variety.” He’s performed and headlined in Las Vegas since 1981, been a Master Impressionist for more than 40 years, and been touring his “Sinatra Forever” show around the country as well as internationally with performances in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico and Chile just to name a few.

SIX STATION CASINOS PROPERTIES PLAN JULY 4TH FIREWORKS
This Fourth of July, Station Casinos will light up the skies with a city-wide fireworks spectacular presented by Fireworks by Grucci. The company will celebrate Independence Day with dazzling fireworks shows, a variety of viewing locations and entertainment offerings throughout the weekend. The coordinated launch of each fireworks display at Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, Sunset Station, Santa Fe Station, and Boulder Station will be one of the largest displays in the city. All shows start at 9 p.m.
The shows will be live streamed on social media and will have a synchronized playlist for guests to listen along to, both available at stationcasinos.com/fireworks. Each casino will celebrate the holiday with offerings throughout the weekend.
SAHARA HOSTS GROOVE CRUISE WEEKEND AT AZILO ULTRA POOL
The Sahara is holding a Groove Cruise Weekend June 24-26. The three-day festival-style event will feature multiple parties at Azilo Ultra Pool and Lounge and the Sahara Theatre as well as a headlining performance by Jeffrey Sutorius with special guest Gene Farris. Guests can enjoy DJ performances throughout the weekend, cruise ship-style décor by AWOL Productions, staff donning captain’s hats and other cruise ship attire and roaming dancers, percussionists and performers.
Award-winning DJ Jeffrey Sutorius, a former member of Dash Berlin and a successful solo artist, has performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world, and served as resident DJ at Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub for more than seven years.
Gene Farris lives and breathes house music. As a bonafide Chicago legend, he’s been pushing musical boundaries for close to three decades. The weekend’s DJ lineup will also include Anthony Attalla, Deep Fake, Kristina Sky, DJ Reza, Mars, Max Low, Scooter and Lavelle, Scottyboy and many more.
The weekend events will be held Friday 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. at the Sahara Theater; Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Azilo Ultra Pool with an after party 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. at Azilo Ultra Lounge; and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at Azilo Ultra Pool.

SUMMERLIN® COUNCIL PATRIOTIC PARADE RETURNS JULY 4TH
The 28th Annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade, Southern Nevada’s largest Fourth of July parade, will take place Monday, July 4 from 9 to 11 a.m. The first full-scale parade since the pandemic is planned to be grander than ever with more than 70 entries, including 25 giant inflatable parade balloons, veteran and military organizations, both patriotic and pop culture-themed floats, performing groups, and representation of four local professional sports teams, including the Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Aces, Las Vegas Aviators and new this year, the Las Vegas Raiders, represented by a 30-foot custom Raiders-branded giant inflatable balloon in the shape of a football.
New to the parade this year is “The Magic of Encanto” float, which will join several popular and returning patriotic-themed entries, including “A Salute to the Military,” honoring the service men and women from Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases; “America Sings!” featuring the Desert Angels gospel choir; “America Standing Tall” featuring a 15-foot Miss Stars and Stripes towering high above the crowd; “A Very Vegas Birthday” with a special appearance by Elvis; and “Dancing in the Streets” by the Contemporary West Dance Theatre ARTSWORK Pro.
Returning to the parade this year are fan favorites,“The Fourth Awakens,” featuring the Neon City Garrison Star Wars costuming club; “Mario Karts on Parade,” featuring Mario and Luigi; and “Frozen Fun,” featuring Elsa and Anna.
More than 2,500 people are expected to participate in the parade.
PARK WEST GALLERY SHOWCASES ARTIST STEPHEN FISHWICK
Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery is continuing its artist showcase series in June with a free exhibition and fan event with artist, entertainer, philanthropist Stephen Fishwick. OnSaturday, June 25 from 4 to 7 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to enjoy Fishwick’s patented “Art Attack” performance, in which he transforms a blank canvas into an explosion of art and iconic images, while being choreographed to music and dance. This will be a free meet and greet and Q&A.
Fishwick’s ability to infuse color, movement, and sound into each of his paintings creates an aesthetic style all his own. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of commercial art. Fishwick has earned the title of official artist for such intellectual properties as Elvis Presley Enterprises, the estates of Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Rush and Kiss to name a few.
Featured at zoos and aquariums throughout the world, Stephen’s For Life Collection supports the plight of endangered animals holding value in educating, supporting and celebrating our precious wildlife. Being partnered with such organizations like Wild Wonders, Lions, Tigers, & Bears, Mission Wildlife and The Conservation Fund, Fishwick’s art has raised 2 million dollars+ toward these causes.

MASEGO WILL RETURNTO LIGHT NIGHTCLUB
LIGHT Nightclub at Mandalay Bay is bringing back GRAMMY Award nominee Masego to the venue’s lineup of top artists with a performance Friday, June 24. Since his first performance in April, “Mystery Lady,” his collaboration with Don Toliver, has become certified gold in the United States and has more than 24 million views on YouTube. Masego joins a stellar lineup during the month of June including Lucky Daye, 6lack and a DJ set by Majid Jordan.
Since reopening its doors in February with performances by Wyclef Jean, Sam Hunt and Iggy Azalea, LIGHT has continued to bring star-studded lineups with performances from popular artists including Coi Leray, SAINt JHN and Ludacris.
PAPILLON OFFERS NEW GIRLS NIGHT OUT EXPERIENCE
Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters’ new Girls Night Out experience includes their signature night flight over the Las Vegas Strip and downtown. Following the flight, guests are whisked to the Sahara to experience a performance of “Magic Mike Live.” The Girls Night Out experience starts at $219 per person.

ÉLIA BEACH CLUB HAS ENERGIZING RESIDENT ARTISTS
Resident artists continue to energize crowds at Élia Beach Club at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, part of Curio Collection by Hilton, with internationally renowned French producer and DJ Tchami and Dutch DJ and producer duo Yellow Claw.
Coining the term “future house,” Tchami is a prominent figure within the house music genre and delivers an invigorating sound with soulful house melodies. After an unforgettable performance at Élia Beach Club during EDC Week 2022, Tchami is set to return on Saturday, June 25.
The electronic producing duo Yellow Claw brings a powerhouse mix of sounds incorporating bass, dubstep, hip-hop and trap. Their fourth studio album “Never Dies” released in 2020 under Roc Nation features some of the hottest names in the music industry such as Saweetie and Offset of hip-hop trio Migos. Yellow Claw returns on Sunday, July 17.

Los Angeles DJs Justin Warfield and Adam “Adam 12” Bravin formed the moody, Joy Division -inspired She Wants Revenge in 2003. The duo with enough exposure to snag a record deal with Geffen, resulted in a 2006 self-titled release that drew comparisons to Interpol, early Depeche Mode, and The Bravery. After touring with Depeche Mode, they returned with 2007’s “This Is Forever.” She Wants Revenge then issued two EPs, 2008’s “Save Your Soul” and the following year’s “Up & Down.” A tour with the Psychedelic Furs led the way for the band's third album, “Valleyheart,” in 2011.
