NFL DRAFT MANIA TAKES OVER APRIL 28-30

 

        The NFL Draft Experience, the NFL’s interactive football theme park, will be free and open to the public in Las Vegas at the heart of the Strip during all three days of the Draft, April 28-30. The NFL Draft Experience and Draft Theater will be located behind the High Roller and the LINQ, adjacent to Caesars Forum.

        For free entry to Draft Experience, fans are required to register for NFL OnePass at NFL.com/OnePass. Fans can download the NFL OnePass app to play games at Draft Experience, receive digital content and enter for a chance to win exclusive prizes, including a grand prize trip for two to Super Bowl LVII in Arizona.

        As part of 2022 NFL Draft presented by Bud Light opening festivities on Thursday, April 28, attending prospects will walk the 2022 NFL Draft Red Carpet presented by Gillette Labs, which will be located at The Fountains of Bellagio. The Red Carpet will also feature the first ever Draft Red Carpet Stage where performances by local Las Vegas acts will take place for fans throughout all three days of the Draft.

IGGY AZALEA WILL PERFORM AT DAYLIGHT BEACH CLUB AT MANDALAY BAY

 

        Billboard Music Award-winning hip-hop star Iggy Azalea will kick off the celebrations of Las Vegas’ first ever professional football draft weekend with a show at the DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay on Saturday, April 30. After putting on an electrifying show in February at LIGHT Nightclub, Azalea is back by popular demand.

        DAYLIGHT is a weekend party spot with Fridays and Saturdays featuring Top 40 music from Las Vegas’ hottest DJs and hosts the best hip-hop party on the Las Vegas Strip, “LIT Sundays.” Partygoers can expect DJ sets and live performances from legendary hip-hop artists. 

 

E11EVEN MIAMI LANDS AT RESORTS WORLD MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

 

        E11EVEN Miami and Resorts World Las Vegas have announced their integrated partnership will kick off in Las Vegas during Memorial Day weekend, May 26-29. E11EVEN Miami will bring its nightlife experience to the Strip with various one-night-only events, entertainment and activations throughout the property, at venues including Zouk Nightclub, Ayu Dayclub, Fuhu and Bar Zazu.

SPA AQUAE AT JW MARRIOTT UNVEILS NEW BARBERSHOP

 

        The grand re-opening of the luxurious Spa Aquae, located inside JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa reveals renovations, new treatments and the launch of Gentlemen’s Tonic.

        The 42,000-square-foot Spa Aquae and Salon recently completed a refresh, elevating it to a cutting-edge wellness center catering to couples and individuals. The first floor features a renovated salon, and men’s and women’s locker rooms, refreshed indoor water features, enhanced sauna and steam rooms, plus a new, elevated Fitness Center with free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. The popular hydrotherapy pool will open in May with access from both locker rooms. The second floor has a revamped Relaxation Room, more than 20 refreshed treatment rooms, including four new couples’ treatment rooms, plus new flooring, wall coverings and décor.

DWIGHT YOAKAM WILL PERFORM POOLSIDE AT THE M RESORT

 

Country Legend Dwight Yoakam will headline a performance at the M Resort at the M Pool on Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and he is a 21-time nominated, multiple GRAMMY Award winner. He has 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Nearly40 of Yoakam’s singles have charted on Billboard, with 14 peaking in the Top 10. Tickets start at $20.

 

GREATEST VEGAS SHOW ‘ABSINTHE’ CELEBRATES 11 YEARS

 

“ABSINTHE” by Spiegelworld celebrated its 11th anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip on April 13 and followed the show with a raucous party held inside the Spiegel tent on the Roman Plaza at Caesars Palace.

Cast members and special guests lit up the night with DJ Crykit bumping beats, hundreds of Green Fairy superfan entertainers, a humongous celebratory cake from Freed’s Bakery and shenanigans – including The Gazillionaire’s assistant Wanda Widdles getting caught selling David “Bath Boy” O’Mer’s bathwater for $100 a bottle.

Ranked the “#1 Greatest Show in Las Vegas History” by “Las Vegas Weekly,” “ABSINTHE plays Sunday to Thursday at 8 and 10 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday at 7, 9 and 11 p.m.

 

BIFFY CLYRO WILL VISITHOUSE OF BLUES

 

        Scottish alt-rock titans Biffy Clyro are embarking on their first U.S. tour in five years, including a stop at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on Wednesday, May 4. Tickets for the all-ages show start at $22.50.

The post-hardcore band will have new material to perform. During the pandemic, Biffy Clyro released two widely acclaimed albums — 2020’s “A Celebration of Endings” and 2021’s tumultuous “The Myth of the Happily Ever After,” which produced the breakout smash “A Hunger in Your Haunt.”
 Over the years, the band has amassed a fervent fanbase in the U.S., where they've opened for acts as varied as Manchester Orchestra and Queens of the Stone Age, while also embarking on numerous sold-out headlining runs. 

 

DAYLIGHT BEACH CLUB BRINGS BACK NIGHTTIME POOL PARTY

 

       Daylight Beach Club, located at Mandalay Bay, is bringing back its nighttime pool party for the 2022 pool season. Beginning Friday, April 29, “DAYLIGHT at Night” will be open every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. with DJ sets and live performances from top artists.

       The 50,000-square-foot space includes a 4,400-square-foot main pool and two additional private pools for cabana guests.

 

PARK WEST FINE ART HOLDS ARTIST SHOWCASE WITH MARCUS GLENN

 

Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace will welcome world-acclaimed contemporary artist Marcus Glenn for a free exhibition and fan even on Saturday, April 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to view Glenn’s one-of-a-kind work, while he hosts a live painting, meet and greet and Q&A. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to win a number of prizes, including artwork from Glenn’s featured collection.  

Glenn is one of the most exciting young artists to emerge in recent years. He is a proud Detroit native, born and raised. His studio has long been in the heart of Corktown, the oldest neighborhood in the Motor City. He has commissioned works of art hanging in exclusive private and public collections throughout the world.

 

THE COFFEE CLASS WILL OPEN AT THE UNCOMMONS

 

The Coffee House, a local specialty coffee house serving premium coffee, paninis, pastries and more will open this fall at the Uncommons, the $400 million, 40-acre mixed-use community urban campus being southwest Las Vegas. This nearly 1,200-square-foot space will mark The Coffee Class’s third location, joining its first location in southeast Las Vegas and second opening soon in East Henderson.

Created in 2019 by Las Vegas resident Kyle Cunningham and his executive chef, Beth Ryan-Small, The Coffee Class has cultivated a loyal following for its thoughtful approach to coffee, popular pastries, plentiful vegan options and elevated lattes.

 

TIVOLI VILLAGE HAS NEW OWNER

 

        Tivoli Village, an open-air, mixed-use property located at 400 S. Rampart Blvd., has been purchased by Beverly Hills, Calif.-based 3D Investments. Property and Building Corp. and IDB Group USA sold the asset for $216 million. Built in 2009 and 2016, Tivoli Village features 669,406 square feet of Class A office, retail and restaurant space across 28 acres. Additionally, the property includes an 8.3-acre development parcel entitled for more than 300 residential units.

 

ATOMIC TESTING MUSEUM DEBUTS NEW PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT EXHIBIT

 

        The National Atomic Testing Museum announces a brand-new limited time exhibit titled “Equipping Our Everyday Heroes.” The exhibit explores the personal protective equipment and new technology used by first responders in the field. The exhibit is officially open to the public and will be on display inside the museum for a year.


        The artifacts displayed in the exhibit are pieces of personal protective equipment and technology actively in operational use by first responders and are commercially available.

        In addition, visitors can learn more about up-and-coming pieces of technology soon to be implemented in the field and watch educational videos related to first responders.

COLLABORATION CENTER FOUNDATION HOLDS INAUGURAL POKER RUN

 

        Autism now affects a staggering one in 44 children and youth and is on the rise of being diagnosed as a co-occurring condition with other disabilities. Bringing Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month to a close, the Collaboration Center Foundation is revving up their engines to present the first-ever poker run, Ante Up for Disabilities. This traditional motorcycle poker run will be held on Saturday, April 30 beginning at 8 a.m. Registration is available online at www.collablv.org

        Beginning and ending at Red Rock Harley Davidson at 2260 S. Rainbow Blvd., registration is from 8-10 a.m. with the poker run beginning at 10 a.m. When the run concludes, the Red Rock Harley Davidson showroom will transform into a family-friendly event with food, drinks, prizes, 50/50 raffle and more. Individual riders are $25 per person, team captains are $20, additional team riders are $15 and all passengers are $15.

The WSOP is the largest and richest gaming event in the world, having awarded more than $3.5 billion in prize money.

       Hip-hop artist, songwriter and record producer, Blanco Brown, recently made a surprise appearance at The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails at The Cosmopolitan while in town for a private show at The Chelsea.

       While in town headlining with his group, V, a member of international South Korean boy band BTS, made another headline-making appearance in Las Vegas when he attended “Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil®”at Mandalay Bay.
