THE BRONX WANDERERS OPEN AT THE WESTGATE
The Westgate is a new home and perfect fit for The Bronx Wanderers, who celebrated their grand opening of their new show with a celebrity-filled blue carpet, which included headliners from around Las Vegas and longtime friend Tony Orlando.
Over the past couple years, The Bronx Wanderers, who have toured the country over 16 years playing pop/rock classics spanning six decades, have been establishing themselves the past few years as a “must see” show in town. The father-and-son duo, flanked by their top-notch band, have performed more than 1,500 shows in Las Vegas. Their multiple award-winning show is an up close and personal, yet larger-than-life music performance taking an audience on a journey from the early days of rock ‘n’ roll right through today’s biggest hits, including numbers from Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Dion, Queen, Bruno Mars, and many more, The Bronx Wanderers recreate the instrumental magic of the era and build a high-energy bond with their audience.
United by their passion for great music, The Bronx Wanderers are led by charismatic master entertainer Vinny Adinolfi, who is a former chart-topping record producer. He is joined on stage by his son, Vinny “Vin. A” Adinolfi III, who sings, arranges and plays several different instruments, and a killer hand-picked backup band.
The Bronx Wanderers perform Monday through Thursday at 8 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in the Westgate Cabaret.
CHEF SHAUN HERGATT IS OPENING CAVIAR BAR AT RESORTS WORLD
On Friday, Dec. 3, Resorts World is set to open Caviar Bar, a new restaurant concept from Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hergatt located in The District. The focus will be on fresh seafood selections, such as organic salmon and fresh tartars and an approachable take to world-class caviar. The restaurant’s wide-ranging menu will also feature Wagyu beef, shareables and rich desserts as well as a variety of wine,champagne, and vodkas. This will be Chef Hergatt’s first West Coast venture.
Caviar Bar will exclusively feature Chef Hergatt’s personal brand, Caspy Caviar, where fine selections such as Baerii, Kaluga, Golden Russian Ossetra and Sevruga will be available for wholesale in addition to sampling in select dishes.
Modern design elements which create a luxurious setting with Caviar Bar will feature an aesthetically pleasing color scheme of black, white and hints of gold. Russian influences will be seen throughout the space’s patterned fabric-covered walls, diamond-guided doors and elegant bar top. Caviar will be playfully present throughout the venue’s décor, with the ceiling hosting a stunning hand-blown glass piece. The restaurant’s intimate atmosphere will seat 105 guests offering an upscale setting for dinner and will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
PIFF THE MAGIC DRAGON EXTENDED AT FLAMINGO ANOTHER THREE YEARS
Las Vegas’ favorite dragon will continue to perform his resident show in the Flamingo Showroom through 2024. The announcement comes as the acclaimed production approaches its six-year anniversary at the center-Strip resort this month.
After wowing audiences and judges as the breakout star and a finalist of the 10th season of “America’s Got Talent,” Piff the Magic Dragon, showgirl Jade Simone and his tiny dog Mr. Piffles quickly landed a residency at Flamingo, where they have headlined since Nov. 7, 2015.
Piff’s deadpan comedic delivery, surprising feats of magic, signature dragon suit and, and his magic Chihuahua Mr. Piffles, have made him a celebrated fixture on the Las Vegas entertainment scene. As an active member of the community, Piff is seen around town at charitable events and lending support to causes near and dear to his heart.
“Piff the Magic Dragon” performs at 7 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Tickets start at $62.95.
LIP SMACKING FOODIE TOURS DEBUTS CULINARY TOUR AT VIRGIN HOTELS
The city’s premier culinary excursion company, Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, has a new dining experience at Virgin Hotels, formerly Hard Rock, which just completed a $200 million renovation this spring.
The 2.5-hour prime-time evening tour takes guests to three renowned restaurants in one smooth, convenient outing. Guests never have to wait for sought-after tables. Instead, they are seated immediately with VIP service to enjoy a carefully curated menu of three to four signature dishes at each establishment, including dessert at the final stop, for a veritable feast. The tour, available nightly, is for individuals, as well as private groups of up to 100 guests.
The Virgin Hotels restaurant collection surrounds a picturesque, beachy, five-acre pool area with soaring palm trees. While the exact lineup of restaurants visited may vary, depending upon the night of the week, each tour will include three of the following illustrious establishments: acclaimed Todd English’s Olives; international Thai food Night + Market; Italian seaside hip trattoria Kassi Beach House; and ONE Steakhouse.
The tour is led by a professional tour guide who provides fascinating facts and lore about the sights along the way. Price is $199 per person, inclusive of gratuities. A $60 optional beverage package is available providing one pre-selected signature cocktail at each venue. For the ultimate experience, a $100 per person Maverick Helicopter ride over the glittering lights of the city at night, complete with Champagne toast, makes for a memorable optional add-on.
COWABUNGA BAY WILL HOST FESTIVAL OF LANTERNS
Chinese Lanterns will light up the nights during the Festival of Lanterns being held at Cowabunga Bay in Henderson beginning Nov. 5and running select dates through February 2022.
Experience a magical wonderland featuring the incredible imagination of skilled Artisans who will bring exquisite designs to life. The artisans will create larger than life illuminated masterpieces from thousands of feet of silk fabric. A colorful 26-foot-tall dancing lion will greet guests as they enter the park and entice them to wander through a gallery of spectacular Lanterns before arriving at the foot of the Asian Tower, a two-story dazzling magnum opus.
Three unique celebrations during the Festival of Lanterns will bring new tastes, sights, entertainment and adventures to the one-of-a-kind holiday festival.
Throughout November, visitors can celebrate the Fall Harvest with special autumn decor, a petting zoo, hay maze, and a farmer’s market. In December, folks will experience a holiday spectacular with all the festive trimmings. January will ring in the Lunar New Year celebration as the park showcases a magnificent Chinese wonderland.
The outdoor festival will open at 4 p.m. each day. Tickets are $25.95 for adults and $21.95 for children 12 and under. Parking is free. Cowabunga Bay Season Pass holders can enjoy discounted food, beverages and treats and admission is 50% off admission when they show their season pass at the park.
BOYD GAMING PROPERTIES SPONSOR WRANGLER NFR EVENTS
With a 30-year-plus tradition of sponsoring the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR), Boyd Gaming properties will again be the epicenter for all things rodeo, Dec. 2-11.In addition to returning fan-favorites like Rump’s Rodeo Party and the Buckin’ Bash, Boyd Gaming will welcome the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping (NFBR) to the Orleans Arena for the first time.
The Wrangler NFBR is moving to Las Vegas, making its debut at the Orleans Arena at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 7. The event will feature the Top 15 breakaway ropers competing for prize money totaling $200,000, a Montana Silversmiths world champion buckle and a custom Cactus Saddlery world champion saddle during the two-day, 10-round event, produced by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) in partnership with Group W Productions. Two-day event packages are available for purchase, in addition to single day tickets.
Rump’s Rodeo Party will return and take place at 5 p.m. nightly inside the Bourbon Street Lounge. It is hosted by Justin “Rumpshaker” Rumford, who was named PRCA Clown of the Year a record-breaking nine times. This Wrangler NFR Viewing Party offers the live feed of the competitions and Rumford’s humor and antics along with chances to win prizes.
Following Rump’s Rodeo Party, Rumford will remain in The Orleans’ Bourbon Street Lounge for the Buckin’ Bash – “Las Vegas’ best rodeo party after dark.” The fun kicks-off at 9 p.m. and Rumford will welcome a different rodeo celebrity for a “Toast of the Night” every evening.
The action-packed All In Barrel Race will be presented by Stetson at Orleans Arena, Dec. 2-4 (Race 1) and Dec. 9-12 (Race 2). Contestants will compete in a guaranteed cash payout of more than $720,000. The event is free and open to the public. Start times for each competition vary and are subject to change.
Bowling, celebrities, food and fun will once again be part of Bob Tallman’s Wrangler NFR Charity Bowling Event at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 4 at the Gold Coast Bowling Center. Now in its 13th year, the tournament will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities and the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. Participants can sign up as a team of four or an individual bowler to meet and bowl with rodeo contestants and celebrities.
THE BEVERLY THEATER HELD ITS GROUNDBREAKING EVENT
The Beverly Theater officially started construction on Las Vegas’ only indie film house and performance theater coming to downtown. Featuring live performances, a logo reveal, surprise guests and more, the event celebrated the development milestone for the fully funded project, which is expected to debut mid-2022.
Once complete, The Beverly Theater will host independent film, music happenings, artistic performances, literary experiences, and educational programming seven days a week. The not-for-profit venue is perfectly situated next to the popular independent bookstore, The Writer’s Block at The Lucy. The Beverly Theater will further catalyze creativity and enhance the already burgeoning cultural scene.
SAMMY HAGAR KICKED OFF HIS RESIDENCY OVER HALLOWEEN WEEKEND
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar kicked-off this past Halloween weekend in Las Vegas with the first show of his sold-out “Sammy Hagar & Friends” residency and his rock supergroup, The Circle – featuring original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson. Fans partied in a Cabo beach vibe at The STRAT with Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. sparkling rum cocktails, Santo Tequila and Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum.
Hagar’s next performance dates are Nov. 5-6 and 12-13.

Kefauver Day commemorates the U.S. Senate investigative hearing into organized crime that took place in the Museum’s courtroom in 1950. Named after Senator Estes Kefauver of Tennessee, the Kefauver Committee hearings were televised nationwide and brought organized crime into the living rooms of many Americans for the first time. Held in 14 U.S. cities from 1950 to 1951, the Kefauver hearings were pivotal in the national fight against organized crime, as well as events that influenced the development of Las Vegas.
RESORTS WORLD UNVEILS NEW ADDITION TO PRIVATE AIRLINE FLEET
Resorts World Las Vegas is continuing to stake its claim as Las Vegas’s newest integrated resort and a major gaming and hospitality player in the marketplace. With the purchase of 262-seat Boeing 787-8 airliner on Oct. 26, the resort expands it private charter capabilities for commercial use and group business.
The resort’s airline fleet also includes a Bombardier Express XRS jet, purchased in June 2021, which is designed to accommodate just 12 guests in ultimate comfort.
TWO NIGHTS OF LECTURES AT THE NATIONAL ATOMIC TESTING MUSEUM
On Nov. 11 and 12, there will be consecutive night lectures from 6 to 8 p.m. at the National Atomic Testing Museum (NATM). Each evening costs $15 and free to NATM members.
On Thursday, the lecture will be “The Legacy of Martha Graham and Erick Hawkins” along with a sneak peek in the Erick Hawkins Dance collection at UNLV.
On Friday, Dr. Victoria Phillips will discuss dance, Martha Graham, and Cold War diplomacy. Afterwards Phillips’ will have a book signing for his creation “Martha Graham’s Cold War and The Dance of American Diplomacy.”
