FEBRUARY’S HOPEFUL HIGHLIGHTS
While we’re still experiencing the pandemic, there are celebrations being recognized next month like Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7;Chinese New Year – The Year of the Ox, Friday Feb. 12; and Valentine’s Day on Sunday, Feb. 14.
DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN® PLANS OFFICE BUILDING AND APARTMENTS
The Howard Hughes Corporation®, developer of the Summerlin® master planned community and its 400-acre Downtown Summerlin®, have announced a comprehensive vision for the area’s walkable urban center, which will include a new Class-A office building, 1700 Pavilion, along with a second phase of the Tanager luxury apartment complex, Tanager Echo.
The new 10-story office building, 1700 Pavilion, will be situated on just under three acres directly south of the Las Vegas Ballpark®.
Tanager Echo will provide new options for luxury living. The 295-unit development is planned as a five- to six-story building that will wrap around a 455-space parking garage allowing tenants direct parking access to their floor of residence. The building will feature a mix of studios, junior one-bedroom apartments, single- and two-bedroom apartments—along with corner units with wrap-around balconies and lofts on the top floor.
Tanager Echo will feature a clubhouse with leisure space, co-working space, a private dining room, game room, sports book-style TV wall, and direct access to the pool area which will include a spa, private cabanas, lounge seating, fire pit and BBQ areas. An adjacent spa area will have a tanning room, dry sauna, and massage room. A top-floor sky lounge will highlight a golf simulator, poker table, and bar island. The property also plans a dog wash facility and access to an onsite dog park.
1700 Pavilion and Tanager Echo will be built simultaneously, with construction expected to begin in second quarter 2021. 1700 Pavilion should be completed in third quarter 2022. Tanager Echo expects to be completed in fourth quarter 2022.
TIVOLI VILLAGE ADDS FIVE NEW RETAIL-RESTAURANT LEASES
Summerlin area’sTivoli Villagefeaturing more than 50 tenants, retailers, restaurants and 300,000 square feet of office space amidst the pandemic recently signed leases with five new tenants: Ada’s Wine Bar, Al Solito Posto, Boston’s Fish House, The Den by D’Annata and Lifestyle Audio Video Interiors.
Ada’s Wine Bar with an opening date to be announced soon is another project from Las Vegas’ own acclaimed Chef James Trees and the LEV Group. It will have wines from around the world accompanying a menu of Mediterranean-inspired share plates and delicious bites.
Al Solito Posto, Italian for “the usual place,” is now open to the public featuring signature Italian dishes such as minestrone, lasagna, rigatoni alla vodka, chicken piccata and eggplant parmesan. The 280-seat restaurant is also spearheaded by Chef Trees. Current hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
Boston’s Fish House, known for flying in fresh New England seafood and scratch-made ingredients, is now open. Traditional New England seafood cuisine is complemented by a great wine list and a fresh oyster bar. Hours are daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with happy hour Monday-Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The Den by D’Annata is the new store for items including relaxed loungewear, athleisure, furnishings, accessories and gifts designed to appeal to masculine tastes. The Den opens at 11 a.m.
Lifestyle AVI, opening this month, provides home audio and video at all price ranges. They specialize in home stereo systems, theaters, home automation, lighting, shades and camera surveillance systems.
‘LATE NIGHT MAGIC’ CONJURES UP A LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY
“Late Night MAGIC,” an after-dark magic show for adults, which explores the dark, taboo, hilarious, and sexy side of magic and illusion, will return in an all-new residency at Alexis Park on East Harmon near the Strip starting Jan. 30. The show takes the stage Friday and Saturday nights at 10:30 p.m. Tickets start at $39.95 through most major ticket brokers and TicketKite.
“Late Night MAGIC” features a rotating cast of four magicians who have edgy, dark, mysterious, and sexy acts intended for mature audiences only. The magicians have been seen on stage at major Strip hotels and The Magic Castle in Hollywood, Calif., as well as on national and international TV shows like “America’s Got Talent,” “Ripley’s Believe It or Not,” “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” and “Ghost Adventures.”
Douglas “Lefty” Leferovich, the co-creator and producer of “Late Night MAGIC,” is also the host. Leferovich is the recipient of the International Magician Society 2016 Merlin Award, Best Sleight of Hand. Over the past 10 years, he has emerged as a force in Las Vegas entertainment due to his creativity and production expertise, whether consulting on more than a dozen headline shows in Las Vegas or performing at the Strip’s major casinos and hotels.
PINKBOX DOUGHNUTS® TACKLES LOVE AND FOOTBALL
Pinkbox Doughnuts will offer a whimsical array of treats in February, including the football-themed doughnuts for Big Game Sunday, a festive lineup of Valentine’s Day treats, and the “Strawberry Blonde” as the featured Doughnut of the Month. These doughnuts are $3 each.
Big Game doughnuts –Halftime Show, Quarterback, Super Bar, and MVP Unicorn – are available Feb. 4-7.
The Valentine’s Day selection will be offered Feb. 1-14 with plentiful choices like Cupid Bar, I Heart U, Unicorn Flirt, Love Note, Valentine’s Day Pooh, etc. Valentine’s Day PeeWeez, which are glazed chocolate cake bites with sprinkles, are 40 cents each.

LAWRY’S THE PRIME RIB LAUNCHES LAWRY’S AT HOME

The box also includes more Lawry’s favorites: creamed spinach, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes along with Yorkshire pudding batter, gravy, au jus, whipped cream horseradish, salt and pepper, bottle of salad dressing, and jar of C.C. THE CALIDA GROUP WILL OPEN ELYSIAN AT THE PALMS THIS YEAR
Multifamily real estate developer The Calida Group will open Elysian at The Palms, address 3850 W. Nevso Drive, this month as the first Elysian Living property of 2021.
Pre-leasing has started on the 286 luxury units, featuring minimum nine-foot ceilings and smart-home automationto remotely control comfort settings like lighting, locks and thermostats. One- and two-bedroom floorplans have many premium touches like upgraded cabinetry and quartz countertops in all kitchens and bathrooms, state-of-the-art LED lighting, custom-designed walk-in closets and more. LUCKY DAY WILL SET ROMANTIC MOOD ON VALENTINE’S DAY
Lucky Day, a 3,000-square-foot tequila and mezcal bar which just opened last September at 516 Fremont St., will set a romantic scene in honor of Valentine’s Day with a la cruda hangover brunch and romantic evening on Sunday, Feb. 14.
Lucky Day’s la cruda hangover brunch will have two-hour seating options available at noon and 2 p.m. for $15 per person. The brunch will include all-you-can-eat pupusa fiesta packages and bottle service from the restaurant’s new mezcal mini bar. Brunch selections will include three different pupusas: cheese, pork and cheese, and a vegan option.
The eccentric popular downtown bar will feature an evening performance highlighting funk and R&B tunes by DJ Moose. The restaurant will offer “tequila pop” cocktail flights, with two-hour seating options available at 8 and 10 p.m. for $30 per person. Guests will receive tequila or mezcal flights paired with Valentine’s Day themed cake pops.
AREA15 HOSTS IMMERSIVE INDOOR PICNIC FOR VALENTINE’S WEEKEND
This Valentine’s Day weekend Feb. 12-14, AREA15 will host “Cloud9: An Immersive Indoor Picnic” – for sweethearts looking for a unique and whimsical way to celebrate the holiday. This ticketed experience takes couples on an adventure inside The Portal, AREA15’s 360-degree, projection-mapped room, and includes a romance-themed picnic basket containing a variety of interactive activities, three-course dinner for two and bottle of champagne. Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, located on Paradise Road across the street from the waiting-to-open Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, will reopen for dinner on Feb. 3, at 5 p.m. Dinner hours will be 5 to 11 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

RAMPART CASINO CELEBRATES CHINESE NEW YEAR
Chinese New Year will be felt throughout the Rampart Casino in Summerlin property beginning Feb. 12 with the casino showcasing fun décor and with a special performance, dining specials, giveaways, and casino promotions to celebrate the Year of the Ox. The Year of the Ox brings the traits “hardworking” and “honest” to 2021.
The traditional Lion Dance will take place throughout the casino at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Downtown Container Park will hold a socially-distanced outdoor football viewing event on The Lawn at Container Park on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 3:30 p.m. Game action will be on one of three viewing screens. Guests can have a “pigskin picnic” with the purchase of food and drinks from any of Downtown Container Park’s tenants.
HYPERX ESPORTS ARENA PLANS BIG GAME WATCH PARTY
Sports enthusiasts are invited to HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas’ big game watch party at the Luxor on Sunday, Feb. 7. Doors will open at 2 p.m. for guests to catch the game on the Arena’s LED video wall with options to lounge in a VIP private room setting or at two-to four-top tables. Tickets are available in packages of two, three or four guests per table at $75 per ticket. Each ticket includes an open bar; a la carte menu items will be available for an additional cost.
PT’S TAVERNS HOST ‘BEER GAME SUNDAY’
PT’s Taverns, whichowns and operates a portfolio of 66 taverns, will host “Beer Game Sunday,” a Big Game celebration with party pack bites, buckets of beer, takeout specials and giveaways on Sunday, Feb. 7.

NEON MUSEUM HOLDS VIRTUAL PRESENTATION ON RESTORED SIGNS
The Neon Museum will virtually present “Beyond the Boneyard: Restored Roadside Relics” on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 6 to 7 p.m. The virtual event will highlight unique stories behind the Horseshoe sign and eight other restored signs located in downtown Las Vegas. Remaining anonymous, the gamer played Pai Gow Poker and bet $1 when he hit the rare natural seven-card straight flush, winning a Pai Gow Poker progressive jackpot of more than $223,000 at 1:46 a.m. The player also placed a fortune bonus side bet of $5 that won him an extra $25,000. The properties’ Pai Gow Poker progressive jackpot has reset at more than $150,000.
