Holiday Season in Las Vegas

Las Vegas has many new festivals and events turning the town into a Winter Wonderland. Some are new for this season and some are returning favorites. There are a few others not mentioned here. The other ones do not have the courtesy to invite the media for a preview, so we don’t review or suggest them.

Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

This is the annual favorite of all us in the Las Vegas media. To us, this is the kick-off to the holiday season. This year marks the 22nd year of this drive-thru holiday light display to be presented at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Each year it gets bigger and better. There are over 6 million lights on the 2 ½ mile path. Stay nice and warm with your family as you drive this course in your own vehicle. There is accompanying sound as you drive from a radio station which you tune on your car. Goettl Heating and Air Conditioning is once again the presenting corporate sponsor for this event. Many local children’s charities benefit from ticket proceeds. This has to be on your list of holiday festivities! Two years ago, Glittering Lights made the Top 10 List of holiday things to do in all America!  www.GlitteringLightsLasVegas.com

Immersive Nutcracker: A Winter Miracle

A brand new holiday event is Immersive Nutcracker: A Winter Miracle in Lighthouse ArtSpaceat The Shops at Crystals on the Las Vegas Strip. This amazing show brings the story of the Nutcracker to life via animation and music. The immersive video presentation on the walls and floor, along with the choreographed music, is truly spectacular. Your young kids will love dancing with the ballerinas in this immersive experience, and will surely become a new Vegas holiday tradition. www.immersive-nutcracker.com/lasvegasThis is the same venue for the original Immersive Van Gogh experience, so Nutcracker for matinee performances and Van Gogh in the evenings.
