LITTLE BIG TOWN WILL VISIT CAESARS PALACE

        Grammy Award-winning vocal group Little Big Town just released their ninth studio album “Nightfall,” and debuted their new song “Over Drinking” last week on NBC’s “Today” show. The group’s The Nightfall Tour will make a Las Vegas stop at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Sunday, April 26, 2020. Tickets for their 8 p.m. show start at $49.

 

DAVID LEE ROTH WILL ROCK HOUSE OF BLUES IN 2020

            David Lee Roth, front man and voice of Van Halen, will start 2020 off with a residency at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on Jan. 8, 10 and 11. In the intimate venue, Roth will bring an explosive two-guitar sounds and familiar mega hits to life, which have only been heard on radio until now. Performances will begin at 8:30 p.m. More dates include March 18, 20-21, 25, and 27-28. Tickets for Diamond Dave start at $63.50.

 

NITRO COMEDY TOUR WILL STOP AT BALLY’S JUBILEE THEATER

            The Nitro Comedy Tour, starring comedians Catfish Cooley and Andrew Conn and featuring DJ Slim McGraw will headline the Jubilee Theater with two performances at Bally’s on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 11 and 12 at 9 p.m. General ticket prices begin at $31.

            The hilarious trio will bring their Southern schtick to Sin City. For Cooley, don’t judge a book by its cover. He’s not just a guy drinking hot sauce and chugging whiskey, he’s a real storyteller with a positive message. You may recognize him from when he was featured on “Tosh.O.”

            Conn, a Kentucky native, recently started dominating the stage with his playful personality and comical facial expressions. When he isn’t busy sharing his offbeat, true-life experiences center stage, he’s sharing his comedic journey through unfiltered videos.

            McGraw with his Southern roots has opened for Brett Eldredge, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, Dylan Scott, and shared the stage with The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Nelly, Flo Rida among others. When he’s in Nashville, you can find him on Broadway playing at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge and Florida Georgia Line’s FGL House.

 

TERRY BRADSHAW WILL RETURN TO LUXOR IN OCTOBER

            Legendary professional football player and charismatic character Terry Bradshaw will be bringing his musical, comedy and storytelling production, “The Terry Bradshaw Show,” back to the Strip in the Atrium Showroom at the Luxor for three Tuesday nights Oct. 1, 22 and 29. Tickets for his 8 p.m. shows start at $65.99.

            Bradshaw’s illuminating personality stands out in this 70-minute show chronicling his life’s journey. Yes, he can sing, and he is joined on stage by superb vocalists Lorena Peril and Anne Martinez, both headliners from Luxor’s award-winning female revue, “Fantasy,” and live band.

            Most enjoyable is Bradshaw’s award-winning storytelling style along with straight-shooting, self-deprecating humor which has made him an all-time favorite Emmy Award-winning co-host and analyst on FOX NFL Sunday. The four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, two-time Super Bowl MVP and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee joined FOX NFL Sunday as co-host and analyst with the show’s inception in 1994.

            Bradshaw is the only NFL player with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as he continues to entertain fans beyond his football years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bradshaw has starred in movie and television hits including “Failure to Launch,” “Father Figures,” “Better Late than Never,” and “The Masked Singer.” Bradshaw is also a gospel and country singer, motivational speaker, New York Times best-selling author and breeder of championship quarter horses.

 

PLAZA DEBUTS NEW LUXE ROOMS AND SUITES

            The Plaza downtown is celebrating the debut of its new Luxe guest rooms and suites featuring redesigned floor plans paired with a variety of high-end décor, technology and energy efficiency upgrades. The $15 million renovation transformed more than 120 guest rooms on the top floors of the Plaza’s North Tower.

            Significant infrastructure changes were made to create the Luxe rooms, which average 325 square feet. For example, adjoining doors were removed to offer more storage options with modern wardrobes, and 16 rooms were combined to create eight new suites.

            Contemporary décor features warm wood tones, mixed metals with bold colors and graphics, and high-end design details, such as laminate flooring with area rugs. There’s a barn door entry into reimagined bathrooms with custom vanities, oversized walk-in showers, quartz counters and a blend of dimensional tiles.

            Each room has an Amazon Echo Dot in the alarm clock enabling use of Alexa commands, built-in USB charging ports, energy efficient LED lighting, a 49-inch flat-screen television, a coffee maker and refrigerator. The rooms also have state-of-the-art RFID card entry, a safety feature already installed in all 1,000 guest rooms at the hotel.

 

PETER FRAMPTON ON FAREWELL TOUR STOPS AT RED ROCK RESORT

            Legendary guitarist Peter Frampton will make a stop at the poolside Sandbar stage at Red Rock Resort on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. with his “Peter Frampton Finale —The Farewell Tour” presented by SiriusXM. Tickets start at $40.

            Frampton just celebrated the 43rd anniversary of his fifth solo album, “Frampton Comes Alive!,” one of the top-selling live records of all time, with more than 17 million copies sold worldwide. He most recently performed as part of “I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell” concert as well as receiving the Les Paul Innovation Award at the 2019 NAMM Show’s 34th annual TEC Awards. 
            At age 16, Frampton was lead singer and guitarist for British band The Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super-groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. He has appeared as himself on television shows “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy,” and served as technical advisor on Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film “Almost Famous” as well as appearing in it and writing songs for the soundtrack. In 2007 he won the Grammy Award for “Best Pop Instrumental Album” for “Fingerprints” and in 2014 he was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame.

 

CHRISTINA AGUILERA ADDS 10 DATES TO PLANET HOLLYWOOD RESIDENCY

            Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera has announced 10 additional dates for her Las Vegas-residency through March 2020 for her “Christina Aguilera: The Xperience” at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. General ticket prices begin at $40.  For every ticket sold, $1 is being donated to The Shade Tree.

            All shows begin at 9 p.m. except for the New Year’s Eve show on Tuesday, Dec. 31, which will begin at 10 p.m. 

            Six-time Grammy Award-winner Aguilera has sold more than 43 million records worldwide. She has achieved five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the fourth female artist to top the chart over the last three consecutive decades. Aguilera has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and is the only artist under age 30 included in Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. In 2011, she was a coach on NBC’s “The Voice.”

 

‘ATOMIC SALOON SHOW’ OPENS AT GRAND CANAL SHOPPES

            Spiegelworld’s “Atomic Saloon Show” is now open at the Atomic Saloon inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. Saloon owner Boozy Skunkton has collected a colorful troupe of international entertainers to create the greatest saloon show, now performing six nights a week. Spiegelworld, the creators of “Absinthe” and “Opium” in Las Vegas, was just awarded five stars for “Atomic Saloon Show” by the UK’s leading newspapers during its month-long run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. “The Times” of London wrote of the show, “Rodeo on steroids is louche and delirious…putting the wild into the Wild West.”

 

 

‘BLANC DE BLANC” OPENED AT SAHARA

            “Blanc de Blanc,” which opened at the Sahara, is the Las Vegas debut for Strut & Fret Production House, one of Australia’s preeminent theatre and major events companies. The award-winning production, which has sold out the Sydney Opera House, London’s West End, the Brisbane Festival and the Adelaide Festival, is plunging audiences into an adult world production.

            After a remodel, the French cabaret tiered showroom offers various types of seating, some circular pools and a hot tub and stage as focal points. Variety acts, acrobatic, balancing, aerial, etc., led by a stud-model emcee turn the room into a party-like free for all! It’s important to attend with an open mind and an urge to go crazy. Drinking lots of champagne would be a good idea.

            Show times are 7 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays, with additional 9:30 p.m. shows on Saturdays. Tickets range from $49 to $129.

 

HANS KLOK SETTLES IN AT EXCALIBUR

            Hans Klok, branded as “The World’s Fastest Magician,” is appearing at his new home since late July at the Excalibur six nights a week (dark Fridays) at 7:30 p.m. plus on weekends with a 4 p.m. matinee. Tickets range from $44.95 to $104.95.

            What’s really exciting about his show is it’s a big production in an intimate 425-seat Thunderland Showroom, which is also home to “Thunder From Down Under” and “The Australian Bee Gees Show,” where you can fully appreciate just how fast and meticulously Klok executes his tricks. His physically demanding 70-minute show is fast-paced and features many physically demanding feats, many which put the 50-year-old magician in precarious situations.

            To help Klok execute so many illusions he has surrounded himself with magnificent and talented “Divas of Magic” - ladies Zarina Potapova, Jenily Wagenmakers, Miki Catherine, Bo Yael Ufkes and gentlemen Andrew Sylveste and Derek McGinnis.

            Klok, a Dutch magician from the Netherlands, got a magic box when he was 10 for his birthday and his journey began. The skilled performer has traveled the world with his show and paid Las Vegas a visit the first time in 2007 with “The Beauty of Magic” show in which pop icon Pamela Anderson assisted him on stage.

 

ROB LOWE WILL make RETURN tour visit to planet hollywood

            After a successful show in Las Vegas last April, famous actor and author Rob Lowe will return to The Strip with an additional “Stories I Only Tell My Friends: LIVE!” tour stop at Criss Angel Theater at Planet Hollywood on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020. Tickets for Lowe’s 7:30 p.m. show begin at $59.

            Lowe released his memoir, “Stories I Only Tell my Friends” in 2011 and followed with his second bestseller book, “Love Life” in 2014. He decided his third book would be a show.

              From the Brat Pack to “The West Wing” to “Parks and Rec” and beyond, “Stories I Only Tell My Friends: LIVE!” is witty and fun with one-of-a-kind personal insights. In addition to Lowe’s storytelling, the show includes a Q&A and plenty of insider film clips and photos. “This isn’t a regurgitation of the books, because that wouldn’t be very much fun,” Lowe says. “This is very much its own beast, but it does have some of the same feel of the books.” 

 

‘STORM AREA 51’ FOUNDER MATTY ROBERTS VISITS DLVEC

            The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) will introduce alien fans to their leader as Storm Area 51 founder Matty Roberts joins the Area 51 Celebration on Thursday, Sept. 19. Uniting forces with Collective Zoo and Bud Light, Roberts will land in Las Vegas to meet earthlings from 7–9 p.m. to sign autographs, take photos and sell themed merchandise for all interstellar attendees.

            The night will include a “classified” lineup of electronic music artists specially curated by Collective Zoo. Doors for the event open at 7 p.m. and secret sets will launch at 8 p.m. The public event is free to all attendees 21 earth years or older.

            Additionally, Bud Light will be giving away intergalactic swag all evening. That night guests can purchase a bucket of limited-edition Area 51 Bud Light beers to receive a free commemorative t-shirt.

 

BEN VEREEN APPEARS AT CABARET JAZZ

            Ben Vereen, a 40-year Broadway, film and television veteran, has a three-day engagement of “Steppin’ Out with Ben Vereen” at Myron’s Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center Sept. 20-22. Shows are at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets start at $49.

            In his latest show, Vereen, a Tony-award winner and multiple time Golden Globe and Emmy nominee, showcases his masterful vocals, charisma, and range, taking audiences on a tour of both contemporary and classic melodies, and favorites from Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

 

MÝA PEFORMS AT GOPOOL AT FLAMINGO

            Singer, songwriter, producer and actress Mýa will appear at the Flamingo GoPool on Saturday, Sept. 28. Doors open at 9 a.m. Mýa released her eponymous debut album in 1998 and became a household name with hit singles including “It’s All About Me,” “Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are)” and “Take Me There.” In 2002, she won her first Grammy Award for her rendition of “Lady Marmalade” with Pink, Christina Aguilera and Lil’ Kim. In 2008, Mýa founded her own record label, Planet 9 through which she continues to release new music including her eighth studio album, “T.K.O. (The Knock Out).”

 

 

TASTE OF DOWNTOWN-EPICUREAN EVENT RETURNS TO THE PLAZA

            The Taste of Downtown-Epicurean Event is returning to the Plaza poolside on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association (NvRA), the event features downtown area notable restaurants along with a premier selection of libations. General admission is $70.

            BLVD & MAIN Taphouse and View Lounge at The Strat have a “Tap the Table” promotion for the college and professional football season with a special weekend breakfast menu from 9 a.m. to noon. Available during all Thursday games, the offer will be two-for-one pints of Bud Light, Michelob Ultra and all PT’s Tavern and BLVD & MAIN signature brews, served tableside in a branded growler. During Saturday through Monday games, pizza selections will be half-off. 

            In honor National Pancake Day, all PT’s Taverns in the valley will offer $3 buttermilk pancakes all day on Thursday, Sept. 26.

            Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar’s next Taste & Learn dining and wine event will be on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. spotlighting various vintages from around Italy. Tickets are $75 inclusive, and reservations are required.

            A New Vista Wine Walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 with more than 15 tasting stations at 7 p.m. at The Dining Arroyo in Downtown Summerlin. Ticket are 30 and $35 day of the event.

 

CHARITIES INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN 5TH ANNUAL ‘TREES OF HOPE’

            Boyd Gaming is inviting local nonprofit organizations from across southern Nevada to submit their entry by Sept. 29 to participate in a holiday tradition, Trees of Hope. Thirty-five charities will compete during this year’s tree-decorating competition with Boyd Gaming awarding $45,000 in prize money. Customers will again vote for their favorite decorated tree at each participating destination Aliante, Cannery, Eastside Cannery, Gold Coast, Main Street Station, Suncoast and The Orleans.

 

SIGHTINGS

            Raiders owner Mark Davis visited the “Donny & Marie” show at the Flamingo recently and met with the showbusiness siblings afterwards. The Osmonds, who’ve been at the hotel since September 2008, are scheduled to wrap up their residency on Nov. 16, 2019.

            Actor Wilmer Valderrama dined at Beauty & Essex inside The Cosmopolitan with a group including Prince Royce and Maluma following the Columbian singer’s earlier concert. 

            Also dining at Beauty & Essex was American rapper Travis Scott along with fellow rapper Sheck Wes, who was celebrating his 21st birthday, before heading to Marquee Nightclub where Scott headlined.

            Rapper Baby Jake dined at TAO in The Venetian with friends before heading up to the nightclub.

            DJ Envy from radio show “The Breakfast Club” was also spotted dining at TAO.

            Chef Anne Burrell was spotted at Marquee Nightclub inside The Cosmopolitan with friends taking in the sounds of DJ Justin Credible from a VIP table.

            Television entertainment host Mario Lopez celebrated Mama Rabbit Bar’s debut at Park MGM at a private party kicking off Mexican Independence Day Weekend. Following the private event, guests headed next door to On the Record to continue the party.
