NEW NOBU RESTAURANT PLANNED FOR PARIS
Caesars Entertainment, Inc. and Nobu Hospitality – the global lifestyle brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper – have announced the expansion of its longstanding partnership, which will include a Nobu restaurant at Paris and a refresh of the first Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace.
This October, Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace plans to begin a multimillion-dollar refresh of its guest rooms and public areas, set to be completed by the end of 2021.
The hotel in 2013 opened with 182 guest rooms and suites, including the extravagant rooftop Nobu Villa and one of the world’s largest Nobu restaurants.
Expected to debut in early 2022, a new Nobu restaurant and lounge is set to open at Paris, marking the second Las Vegas restaurant between Nobu Hospitality and Caesars Entertainment.
WORLD’S FIRST BLAIR WITCH THEMED ESCAPE EXPERIENCE IS OPEN
Las Vegas’ newest immersive attraction, Escape Blair Witch, from Global content leader Lionsgate and leading Las Vegas attraction producer, Egan Escape Productions, is now open.
Escape Blair Witch brings Lionsgate’s classic horror film franchise The Blair Witch to life in its first official escape experience. The new attraction is located at the same expansive facility housing Lionsgate’s, The Official SAW Escape: Las Vegas, the world’s first immersive escape experience themed after the blockbuster SAW films, launched in 2018.
From the outside, the Escape Blair Witch building looks like an old ranger’s station with no mention of the Blair Witch. Players arrive as volunteers to help search for some local students who have gone missing in the forest. As they work their way through multiple scenes throughout the ranger’s station, the forest, and the old house in the woods, they quickly learn that they have become victims themselves and must work to escape the clutches of the Blair Witch.

Consummate showman David Lee Roth, the front man and voice of Van Halen, will return to Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve following his successful early 2020 residency dates. He will headline 9 p.m. shows on Dec. 31, Jan. 1, 5, 7-8 at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay. Tickets start at $63.50 and go on sale Saturday, Oct. 2.
ZOUK NIGHTCLUB OPENED AT RESORTS WORLD
The new nightlife destination, Zouk Nightclub, at Resorts World made its debut with a sold-out weekend featuring artists Tiësto, Becky G, DJ Snake and Charly Jordan headlining. Zouk Nightclub is open 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., Thursday through Sunday.
Located inside The District next to FUHU and RedTail, guests are immediately greeted by striking, floor-to-ceiling LED displays as they make their way through the newly opened 36,000-square-foot space, which features three experiences Capital Bar, Empire and the main room, Zouk.
Capital Bar, the first room welcoming guests, features an eye-catching LED canopy and boasts a top-notch mixology program at its 360-degree bar. Across the way is Empire, a versatile space that can act as an extension of the main room or a separate experience with its own vibe and music programming.
The main room, Zouk, will be home to some of the world’s top artists. The room features two main bars, and a 1,011-square-foot dance floor surrounded by VIP banquettes. This area hosts the iconic Mothership, a famed LED piece that has been reimagined from Zouk’s flagship nightclub in Singapore. As the venue’s centerpiece, the Mothership features a state-of-the-art lighting system.
SQUARE BAR COMING TO COMMERCIAL CENTER’SNEW ORLEANS SQUARE
The McMenemy family in partnership with Paul Kotler will open Square Bar, a gaming and entertainment lounge with food and cocktails planned for New Orleans Square in Commercial Center. Square Bar is planned to debut late this year.
Remodeling a vintage space, Square Bar will be a comfortable but inspiring escape to another time featuring distinctive bar gaming, lounge and entertainment areas as well as an outdoor patio hearkening back to the swanky early 70s.
‘STARLIGHT’ WILL HOLD WORLD PREMIERE AT GALAXY THEATRES
Midnight Pass Entertainment’s musical/drama, “Starlight,” a feature film 10 years in the making, and starring Henderson resident Jay White, will have its Red-Carpet World Premiere at the Galaxy Theatres in the Boulevard Mall on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. with an audience Q&A following. Tickets for the “Starlight” premiere can be purchased at starlightmovie.net.
Preceding the screening, cast members will gather the night before, Friday, Nov. 12 when “The Sweet Caroline Tour starring Jay White” presents a Neil Diamond concert celebration at the Italian American Club (IAC) on E. “Starlight” was written, produced, and directed by Steve Tatone and shot entirely on location in Las Vegas and Sarasota, Fla. The film features 17 original songs and stars Jay White, who made his motion picture debut in Ron Howards’ Academy Award nominated “Frost/Nixon.” White is best known worldwide as the world’s No.1 Neil Diamond tribute artist, performing more than 10,000 shows on five continents over three decades, including a run on the Strip in the early 1990s.
The ensemble cast also co-stars legendary Neil Diamond percussionist and Las Vegas resident King Errisson, who appeared in Diamond’s “The Jazz Singer,” and Tampa, Fla. resident Danielle White(no relation), making her feature film debut. White, only 20 years old when the first sequences of the film were shot, is a past winner of FOX-TV’s “American Juniors,” a spinoff of “American Idol.”
BRETT YOUNG BRINGS COUNTRY SOUND TO RED ROCK RESORT
Country star Brett Young launched his 33-city “The Weekends Tour” on Sept. 11 and will stop in Las Vegas for an outdoor concert at the Sandbar Poolside at Red Rock Resort on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. The tour also features special guests Maddie & Tae and Filmore with Ryan Hurd and Matt Ferranti on select shows. Tickets are $40 and $80.
Young with seven consecutive No. 1 hit songs and multi-Platinum sales has cemented his status as country’s master over matters of the heart. The star now broadens his emotional scope with his third studio album “Weekends Look A Little Different These Days” out now. The collection features his current single “Not Yet” and Gold-certified No. 1 song “Lady,” with lyrics which inspired Young’s debut children’s book “Love You, Little Lady,” published by Tommy Nelson (an imprint of HarperCollins).
WAYNE NEWTON TO PERFORM LIMITED ENGAGEMENT AT FLAMINGO
Wayne Newton aka “Mr. Las Vegas,” will begin a limited engagement of “Wayne: Up Close and Personal” in the Wayne Newton Theater inside Bugsy’s Cabaret at the Flamingo. Newton’s headliner status for the first time in his career was at the Flamingo in the 1960s. “The Midnight Idol” will return to the resort beginning Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. with select dates through Jan. 2, 2022. Tickets begin at $79.
Newton’s show presents the entertainer in an intimate setting where he interacts with the audience, performs some favorite songs, and shares personal career highlights through songs, film clips, anecdotes and audience Q&A.
Recognized around the world, Newton is known for his signature song, “Danke Schoen” in addition to countless other top hit singles including, “Daddy, Don't You Walk So Fast,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady,” “At This Moment,” “The Letter,” “Summer Wind” and “Years.” Newton has recorded and released, to date, 165 albums in his career.
Newton has also established himself as an accomplished and sought-after actor, both on television and the silver screen, having appeared in such memorable movies as “Vegas Vacation” and the classic James Bond thriller, “License to Kill.”
SARAH HESTER ROSS EXTENDED AT NOTORIETY
“Sarah Hester Ross LIVE: Music & Comedy” has been extended at Notoriety Live at Neonopolis downtown through November. The multi-talented musical comedian will perform every Thursday at 9 p.m. through Nov. 18. Tickets start at $35.
The viral TikTok star, who was featured on “America’s Got Talent” and “The Dr. Demento Show,” also performs on the Strip at Bar at Times Square at New York-New York, in the top-rated dueling piano show. The vivacious redhead Hester Ross recently released a self-written single, “Don’t Be a Ball Sack,” as well as a comedy album, “It’s All a Joke.”
Hester Ross has performed in “Raiding the Rock Vault” and “The D*Word: A Musical,” and musically directed and written for “Spoofical the Musical” and “Worst Show in Vegas.”
LOCAL ARTISTS CURRENTLY FEATURED ON AREA BILLBOARDS
The public art project powered by Meow Wolf Las Vegas and SaveArtSpace is culminating in the display of several pieces of work by 10 Nevada-based artists on dedicated billboards across the Las Vegas valley, now through at least Oct. 10. The project, themed “Portals & Pathways,” collected more than 250 unique submissions during the summer-long open call for entries.
A first of its kind for the Las Vegas community, the partnership between Meow Wolf Las Vegas, creators of the new immersive art attraction Omega Mart, and nonprofit organization SaveArtSpace was launched to increase public accessibility to art while creating opportunities for artists’ work to be viewed by thousands of people in a public setting. Since 2015, SaveArtSpace has installed the artwork of 315artists on 600 advertising spaces in more than 35 cities across the country.
PIERO’S ITALIAN CUISINE REOPENS DAILY THIS WEEK
On Sept. 28, Piero’s Italian Cuisine, a treasured Las Vegas fine dining restaurant since 1982, began opening its doors seven days a week. This marks the award-winning restaurant’s return to pre-COVID operations from 5:30-10 p.m., daily.
Founded by Freddie Glusman and now run by his son, Evan, Piero’s Italian Cuisine has remained a treasured Las Vegas institution where celebrities and public figures gather. Located off the Strip adjacent to the Convention Center, the stand-alone restaurant has 345 seats and six separate dining rooms, which can accommodate private and special events.
THE FRONT YARD AT ELLIS ISLAND CELEBRATES OKTOBERFEST
The Front Yard at Ellis Island Hotel, Casino & Brewery is celebrating Oktoberfest with a festive bash transforming the two-story, indoor-outdoor beer garden into a Bavarian delight. Guests will enjoy live entertainment from a Bavarian Band and DJ and sip on all-you-can-drink Oktoberfest beer while munching on German-style cuisine. SUMMERLIN® FESTIVAL OF ARTS RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN®
The Summerlin® Festival of Arts, presented by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, will return to Downtown Summerlin® Oct. 9–10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The outdoor festival at The Lawn will feature approximately 100 fine artists from Southern Nevada and surrounding states, each carefully selected by a jury of local art experts. Displays will include oil, watercolor, pottery, sculpture, photography, glass and jewelry – all in a mix of contemporary and classic designs. The event and parking are free.
There will be live art demonstrations, interactive robotic demos, hands-on science activities, and interactive autumn wreath creating, balloon artists and face painters at the Children’s Pavilion.
The Art of The Classic Car presented by The Mustang and Classic Ford Club of Las Vegas will have a variety of cars on display along Festival Plaza Drive on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The Las Vegas Farmers Market at Downtown Summerlin located under the Pavilion will host extended hours 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9–10.
THE NEON MUSEUM LAUNCHES GUIDED TOURS IN SPANISH
The Neon Museum is debuting guided tours of the Neon Boneyard every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. beginning this week on Oct. 1. The tours are being introduced for Hispanic Heritage month and will become a permanent offering. Future scheduling will be based on customer demand. Private tours in Spanish will also be available and can be arranged through the Museum. Guided tours will be conducted by fluent Spanish speaking Museum Interpreters and last 45 minutes.
Guided tour tickets are $28 per person ($24 for Southern Nevada residents). When buying tickets, the Spanish speaking tour should be specifically selected.
HOGS & HEIFERS HOLDS ANNIVERSARY ‘RALLY IN THE ALLEY’
Hogs & Heifers Saloon downtown is celebrating its 16th anniversary with Rally in the Alley 2021 over three days Thursday Sept. 30 – Saturday, Oct. 2. Over the three days, Downtown 3rd street will be closed off with a bar on the sidewalk, vendors from 2-11 p.m. each day, and three bike shows. MT. CHARLESTON CABINS HAVE REOPENED AFTER THE FIRE
On Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, an accidental fire claimed the beloved Mt. Charleston Lodge. Luckily no one was hurt. The destination has been a popular venue for special events and weddings, which are having to be moved, rescheduled or sadly cancelled.
On a happier note, the Mt. Charleston Cabins reopened Friday, Sept. 24. The management team provides guests with continental breakfast, and those staying in the event cabin receive an in-room happy hour experience with wine and cheese.
